Randall
Packers tickets, hotel rooms get snapped up By Mike Hoeft mhoeft@greenbaypressgazette.com Phone lines were jammed this morning at the Green Bay Packers' ticket office, with a voice message saying all tickets to Sunday’s NFC championship game are sold out. The Packers will host the New York Giants at 5:30 p.m. at Lambeau Field. Season-ticket holders had to pony up the money for playoff tickets by Dec. 5 to get tickets. Face value for a championship game ticket is $148 each and club seats cost from $272-$367. Online ticket broker prices start at $450 and up. Green Package ticket holders had the first crack at playoff tickets. Any tickets remaining were sold to Gold (former Milwaukee) package ticket holders through a random drawing. Hotel rooms in the Green Bay area, meanwhile, are expected to be snapped up by midweek. “We’ll probably be sold out by Wednesday,” said Betty Delahaut, front desk supervisor at Airport Settle Inn, 2620 S. Packerland Drive, Ashwaubenon. Rooms were available this morning for a two-night minimum this weekend, she said. Once filled, customers will be directed to the Extended Stay Airport, 1639 Commanche Ave. Rooms were available at Regency Suites Hotel, 333 Main St., Green Bay. The Hilton Garden Inn, 1015 Lombardi Ave., just two blocks east of Lambeau Field, was sold out for this weekend about three weeks ago by a group reserving rooms in the event of an NFC championship game, said Elizabeth Schaick, general manager. That group likely is the NFL. The hotel is the media headquarters for the game. Nevertheless, the hotel began getting “a ton of calls” right after the Giants defeated the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday evening, she said. Trying to get tickets? Face value of the NFC championship game ticket is $145. Online prices start at $450 and up. SheikYerbuti
I heard every player on the Cowboys roster has 2 tickets to the game. . .I doubt all of them will be using them. I'm thinking about calling and seeing if any of them want to give up their tickets. . .
