Brentastic
Just made these last night: E2A: You should have have all the ingredients measured/prepared before starting. You will want to have 'part 2 (post boiling) ready to go because the batter 'settles' quickly. Bring these ingredients to boil: 2 cups white sugar 1/2 cup milk 1 stick butter 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder Once the above concoction comes to a boil, boil for exactly 1 minute. (This is important, let the mixture actually come to a rolling boil, then boil for one minute only). Take above mixture from heat and quickly add: 1 cup peanut butter 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 3 cups of cooking oats (dry oatmeal - next time I may try only 2.5 cups of oats) stir and quickly spoon onto waxed paper. They will set quickly so it's crucial to stir and spoon quickly. Enjoy!! Edited January 21, 2008 by Brentastic
