Randall
Bucs signed head coach Jon Gruden and GM Bruce Allen to three-year contract extensions. Gruden and Allen, who entered 2007 on the hot seat, are now both under contract through 2011. The Bucs have won three NFC South titles under Gruden's watch and one Super Bowl (2002), but his best coaching job may have been done in 2007 after he lost his top two running backs, starting left tackle, and No. 2 QB to injury. Allen is coming off his best draft yet. Jan. 22 - 8:55 am et Source: Tampa Tribune

Avernus
getting an extension out of nowhere is sort of like the kiss of death and nothing more than an attempt to keep the media from assuming he will get fired... I know they had a successful season as the TB HC....but they really do need to address the QB position before they can even think about the 2nd round of the playoffs.. They were both going into the last year of their contracts so the extension is not "out of nowhere". I agree that they need to adresss the QB position, but also the WR position. peepinmofo
Yeah he lives in Tampa but hates the Bucs.....or so he says. Yeah I DO hate em. Its easy for me to know a little about them though. I see them all over the place here and all my friends are bucs "fans". I work with one of the cheerleaders now, so that makes it easier to not hate them as much. The best part though, is she is an Eagles fan! getting an extension out of nowhere is sort of like the kiss of death and nothing more than an attempt to keep the media from assuming he will get fired... Jolly Rodgers
The best part though, is she is an Eagles fan! That's F'd up. You can be a Bills fan or a Bears fan or even a Packers fan but being a Eagles fan is unacceptable.
