clickclack
By DAVE BLEZOW January 27, 2008 -- The mystery of Tom Brady's injured right foot deepened yesterday when he was spotted by a Boston Herald photographer limping around outside his Boston home. Check Out The Giants Blog According to photog Mark Garfinkel, the Patriots quarterback backed his car into the garage of his Back Bay residence, then emerged for 20 seconds, walking with a noticeable limp. This sighting, while encouraging for the 121/2-point-underdog Giants, who will take on the 18-0 Patriots next Sunday in Super Bowl XLII, provides only a small hint about the quarterback's health. The Patriots' practice yesterday was closed to the media, and there was no immediate confirmation on whether Brady showed up or participated. The Patriots leave for Arizona today, with the Giants following tomorrow. This past Monday, Brady was photographed in enemy New York territory at girlfriend Gisele Bundchen's West Village home wearing a walking boot, which he soon discarded. But he hadn't been spotted in recent days, prompting the Herald to run his picture on a milk carton on its front page yesterday. http://www.nypost.com/seven/01272008/sport...mpin_508691.htm
Randall
Belichick's at it again(mind games) but the Giants won't be fooled.
whomper
Brady doesnt rely on scrambling ability much. He actualy is a master at buying time with that calm shuffle in the pocket that he does. Im not saying a high ankle sprain wont be a cause for concern but I just see him definetly playing and it not having a tremendous affect on his game . Who knows though. The Giants strong point is pressure on the qb..It makes for an interesting twist

skinpig
Belichick's at it again(mind games) but the Giants won't be fooled. of course the gmen won't be fooled... not BB's intention to 'fool' them... he'd much rather see the Boot in the headlines than Moss's 'legal' troubles... besides...no need to fool the Giants anyway...I know because I had Eli in my local... He wants to create as much doubt about everything as possible. Fooling the Giants is exactly his intention and the NFL lets him get away with it. pig devilz
from the Boston Globes, Joe Sullivan... Brady update Tom Brady was perfectly clear in his first Super Bowl press conference Sunday night. His sprained right ankle is no big deal and he'll play next Sunday in the Super Bowl. The first question was about his ankle and Brady repeated it. "How's the ankle? What did coach say?" That drew some laughs and Brady followed that up by saying, "It's doing good. I'll be ready to go." Brady also acknowledged two things that had been suspected by were unconfirmed. First, he has not practiced this week but he said he benefited from watching practice. He said the team had a good week of mental preparation. Second, he said he injured the ankle when he was sacked early in the third quarter in the AFC Championship game vs. the Chargers. Brady, dressed in a pinstriped suit with a hankerchief in his breast pocket but without a tie, appeared to be in good spirits and he said he felt "energized" after arriving at the site of the Super Bowl. Although he hasn't practiced, he did say "he jogged around a little bit, hobbled around, dropped back and threw a few passes." He also addressed some questions about his personal life with girlfriend Gisele Bundchen, saying he was caught off guard by all the photographers outside Bundchen's townhouse in New York where he was photographed with a medical boot on his foot and flowers in his hand. "I was trying to get in the house as fast as I could." Then he turned philosophical. "It's part of the world we live in. Places you used to go to for refuge, you can't go anymore." When asked if his girlfriend was coming to the game, Brady said he didn't know.
fballfreak
I watched the press conference last night and Brady was cool, calm, and collective as ever considering what he's been through in the past week with the bottom-feeding paparazzi breathing down his back. skinpig
He wants to create as much doubt about everything as possible. Fooling the Giants is exactly his intention and the NFL lets him get away with it. your first sentence is correct, but you pat haters can't post two sentences without the jealous drizzle flowing all over your posts... what exactly would BB gain by 'fooling' the Giants?...you think they're preparing for Cassell?...will they go easy on Brady now that he is hurt?...what?... and what exactly is BB getting away with?...allowing the shutterbugs to take pictures?...is he using TMZ as his personal spying network?... and why aren't other players limping around?...wouldn't that create even more doubt? Jackass
He wants to create as much doubt about everything as possible. Fooling the Giants is exactly his intention and the NFL lets him get away with it. I doubt he's fooling the Giants, but i think he is fooling the media. He's using Brady to distract attention from the Moss issue and any other minor issue that might get blown out of proportion and distract the team. This way Brady can handle all the attention that he's used to anyway on a bogus topic that they can laugh at behind everyone's back. Pretty ingenious (if the theory is correct) if you ask me.
