detlef
I'm getting more and more concerned that my Vols are going to be passed up by the pack in the SEC. It's been gradually happening and I think we're going to have to upgrade from Fulmer or be content with being middle of the pack for a long time. theeohiostate
Dominating ??? How does a blindass homer even like you conclude that? 5 Big 12 teams in the top 25 5 PAC 10 teams in the top 25 5 SEC teams in the top 25 4 Big 10 teams in the top 25 4 ACC teams in the top 25 Yep, sure looks like the SEC is dominating the recruiting, probably just like SEC speed

I don't think it takes a "blind homer" to be impressed with that. Do we need to review the difference between 10 and 25 again? Let me know, I'll clear a couple of hours out of my schedule and we can have a refresher course. Now, if some other conference had less in the top 10 but more in the top 25, they could make an argument why that's better. However... Coffeeman
I guess I don't get the Rivals.com list. When I see USC with a 3.88 average, it seems pretty good - only ND at 3.95 is better, and OSU at 3.88 is tied. What am I missing? Or we talking quantity vs. quality? And I guess if Scouts.com is correct, I can turn in my Trojan tix in 3-4 years, cuz the team is just gonna suck big donkey balls. Oh boy... Remember folks, this is based on what they did in HS. Wait til they're at least 2nd or 3rd years in Div1, then we can re-evaluate. I suffered through many years of good recruits at USC not amounting to anything as a team, prior to Coach Carroll arriving, so I've been there. Where is that 'Hindsight is 20/20.com' list we really need? hmm, maybe I can start a cool site...
Cameltosis
Trying to predict how good a recruiting class is going to be is about as easy as predicting how good a lap dance will be by what shoes the stripper is wearing.

However, like FF drafts, you'd rather go into the season with a bunch of guys that most tend to think will be great than be hoping for everyone on your team being "diamonds in the rough". Looking back at Rivals.com past recruiting classes it's not like Tennessee hasn't had some outstanding ones. 2007 3rd ranked class 2006 23rd 2005 4th 2004 11th

Jo
Good to see Miami with a top notch class again (well, at least I think its good). A lot of those kids are going to get the chance to play next year. Funny how programs that were down last year - Bama (though they weren't terrible), Miami, Notre Dame) all had very strong recruiting classes. Guess there's something alluring about returning a program to glory.

Top QBs and RBs see a program like USC and wonder if they can start. At some of these others, its no problem.....

Perchoutofwater
Mack Brown is the king of recruiting. I think this is the first year since he came to Texas that Texas isn't in the top 10. They are normally in the top 5. That being said, he has only one one NC and I believe 2 conference titles.
