Sugar Magnolia
I will be in Tucson next Weds. and Thurs. Looking for a good authentic Mexican restuarant that has more than just tacos and burritos. Also looking for good, and more on the lines of cheap, places for breakfast and lunch. I haven't booked a hotel yet, so don't know where we're staying. Thanks
rhippens
while i'm failing to meet your criteria, i had to at least mention my favorite 2 tucson places to eat or drink based on what atmosphere i'm looking for. http://www.pasticheme.com/index.html http://www.gentlebens.com/content/display/file/index.php Edited February 6, 2008 by rhippens
wildcat2334
ok- plenty of damn good Mexican in Tucson- depends where you stay- you can drive for days in that town. my favorite is Guadalajara Grill on Prince - fresh salsa made at yer table, mariachi - fun place. El Charro is good- and for down and dirty Mexican- go to Sanchez Burrito Company. For some of the BEST sandwiches I have had- check out Beyond Bread - couple locations one is on Speedway - really good
darin3
There's a great pizza place... forget the name... perhaps starts with a "Z"...
montster
There's a great pizza place... forget the name... perhaps starts with a "Z"... you mean zachary's? on 6th street just south of campus. we used to eat there all the time. it's pretty good. for authentic mexican, try Mi Nidito in south tucson (which is its own municipality inside tucson). it's a bit out-of-the-way, though. minidito.net. president clinton ate there! a great lunch place: Bison Wiches, a sandwich place on fourth avenue, just west of campus. sandwiches on texas toast and soup in bread bowls. i love that place. then there's always Two Pesos, just off campus -- best visited at 1:30 am for lukewarm tacos just as your buzz starts to wear off. I was going to say Zachary's but there's also a Zachary's in Berkeley (coincidentally, just near campus) that makes absolutely ridiculously good pizza.
