Haven't tried it yet but it's 10.5% ABV. Well the 4 Imperials packed a decent wallop. I just finished my second Double Dog. This beer is only for those extremely fond of hops. I went out drinking with an English guy a few weeks ago and he said that if the sale of Stella was banned in England that this incidence of wife-beating would fall dramatically (because he was basically arguing that stella is the drink of choice of the British trailer-trash set). I was going to follow up with the same advice. I don't think I've had Sam's Double Bock, but I doubt it would be as good as an authentic Celebrator. I remembered this post on Wednesday night as I had dinner with a few people from our Amsterdam office. One of the guys is English so the first thing I asked him was if Stella was considered cheap crappy beer in London (sort of like Corona is in Mexico). He said it's actually positioned as a premium beer there and was too expensive to actually be considered for the market your friend describes.
