godtomsatan
So, I'm boycotting comcast right now, and cancelled my NFL Network subscription. Anything interesting on the combine front?
Outshined
I don't have to boycott anything...The NFL (and Charter) is doing it for me.
piratesownninjas
Darren McFadden just repeated himself 3-4 times during an interview with Schefter... Just so you know, McFadden has never spoken with Adrian Peterson, but has spoken with his father. Not Adrian, but he has spoke with his father on the phone. No AP though. It's a good thing he can run the ball, because he couldn't think his way out of a room with no walls.

He's never been known as a thinker, this just further proves it. I think he's a heck of a talent, but I don't think he's who the Raiders need to be targeting. I guess me not thinking much about him as a person off the field and saying he's no ADP means that I really don't like McFadden?

piratesownninjas
I also think a team like the Raiders or Falcons have way more holes to fill that are more important at other positions. You can find a runningback later than the first, but I guess that's just my opinion.

I'm not saying I don't agree with you, but when a struggling team is presented with amazing talent, it's hard to pass it. Especially for Al Davis. Oh, I don't doubt Al will take McFadden if he's there, as Al has his tendencies... It just that Al's tendencies have turned a once great franchise into an afterthought. By the time you build up the raiders enough for them to make a run again, McFadden will probably be broken down because they'll use him too much. You selected Russell last year at no.1 I think you have to try and trade down to pick up a playmaker for Russell to throw to.
piratesownninjas
Schefter was just commenting about how in shape the lineman are coming in. Jake Long weighed in at 313 but had very little fat on him. They said that he looked more like a tight end, except that he's 6'7 313 which he said will help him a great deal. budlitebrad
McFadden, Stewart and Mendenhall are all running on Sunday. Jake Long put up 37 reps on the bench. He'll go #2 to the Rams at the lastest, I gotta imagine, especially if Flo Adams signs with the Dolphins. Desean Jackson will definitely be dropping. 5'9 and 169 pounds? Yikes... Stewart looks good at 5'10 and 235 pounds. Edited February 22, 2008 by budlitebrad

I was more referring to GTS initial post, but Jake Long is no Robert Gallery.

If you're going to sign Bulger to that extension, you have to get him some guys that can protect him. DeSean Jackson, If he drops, it won't be because of his height and weight, everyone knew going in he was undersized. I don't think a lot of people view him as a no.1 wide receiver, but a receiver that can play the no.2 or slot as well as be your special teams specialist. budlitebrad
TEs are about to run. Looking forward to Keller's time. EDIT: 4.54 for Keller. I like it. He may slip in the bottom of round 1. I know TT is looking at Jermichael Finley, but this guy is moving up fast. I think Ted Thompson is in a position to draft the best player available to tell you the truth. It will be interesting to see what happens... Probably pick someone that was not on our radar... Chief Dick
I pray Jake Long is still there at 5 and the Chiefs pick him. If he is gone, I see them trading down.
