ebartender
I lost a bet with a neighbor so I owe him a few beers. I want to get something good. I am basically a Miller Lite drinker and I need some help with a good beer available in the Philly area. I typically just head to the neighborhood beer distributor but they done have much of a selection other then your Miller Lite, Bud, etc. Any suggestions? detlef
Victory Brewing Co. is in Philly and their stuff is great. I like the Prima Pils but they make a great stout and some others inbetween.
justin
Joe Canal's Discount Liquor outlet has several locations in the surrounding suburbs (I've been to the one in Marlton on Rte 73 many times). They have an outstanding beer selection that includes local, regional and worldwide selections. I'm not sure I'd make the trip out to the burbs just for the outlet, but if you're in a bind and need a place with a very good selection, Canal's is your place. It's strange hearing a question like this from someone with a screen name like yours. . . Go to the closest Canal's. . .you'll find dozens of good choices there. frenzal rhomb
By my preference Troegs (Harrisburg) I was going to suggest Troegs as well - if you wait about three weeks, their Sunshine Pilsner should be available. I just emailed them about it cause its seasonal and they replied mid march.

Flypaste
This place looks like it could be a "winner": http://www.fooderybeer.com/ This is a good spot in the city. It is, however, a little expensive... But... If you don't feel like crossing the bridge it is pretty convinient. They have a pretty decent selection. The Hitachino Nest White Ale(Belgian style) is good... I think they still carry it. Chimay Grande Reserve(Blue) is an excellent choice as well... Of the local brewerys. Add another vote for Troegs
