CarryTheRock
Brett Favre is One Swell Fella Couple of local boys from around these parts here in Iowa made the 13 hour trip to Hattiesburg, Miss. to deliver a golf cart to the QB of the Green Bay Packers. Scott Harris was to deliver the custom built golf cart and his buddy went along to “keep him company…” Riiight. He wanted to keep him company, had nothing to do with who it was being delivered to. “You’re always kind of nervous when you’re going to meet someone you look up to, because you’re afraid to be disappointed,” Harris said. “The last thing you want is for the guy to be a jerk, because it blows your whole opinion of him.” It didn’t take long for their nervousness to disappear. Favre not only welcomed the two onto his 450-acre property, he gave them the grand tour. For more than two hours, the trio chatted as if long-lost high school buddies. “What a friendly guy,” Leytem said. “He’s got to be one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. The whole time we were down there, he made us feel really comfortable being around him. “I was half-expecting some guy to show up at the gate and say, ‘Put it here, boys. See ya later.’ But he was awesome. It’s definitely something I’ll never forget.” I have to say that Brett Favre has to be the furthest thing from a football diva. when a guy will wear a beat up cap and faded jeans to a press conference you know you have a down to earth guy. Apparently after Favre is done using the cart it will be auctioned off to benefit his foundation.

What, is he supposed to give away all of his money? You may want to do some research on he and his wife's charities. This guy donates a TON of money to multiple charities. I guess you'd rather him donate all of his money? And what does it matter if it's a $9000 dollar golf cart? If you'd read on you'd see that he's donating it after he's finished. chester
A friend of mine's brother golfs with Brett's brother or cousin or someting. They had golfed together for a few years without him every actually meeting Brett. Well finally Brett joins them for golfing, this guys gets introduced to him and plays it cool for a few holes before he says to Brett 'So what do you do for a living' in a totally deadpan way. I guess Brett was just speechless.

Randall
Favre's basically a big kid in an adult body. Anyone who gets authographs from him can testify to that.

It's a golf cart, not a Bentley. I have it on good authority that he normally drives a pickup truck to Lambeau on game day.

Heck, his garage is probably 200 acres from the house. Its all practical. I think its obvious to us all that you're just jealous of his down to earthyness. LooGie
Man what a jerk. It's obvious those guys needed to get back to work, but Brett is so full of himself, he had to boast and brag about his mansion and all his vehicles and basically kidnap these guys for hours on end to just talk about himself. I didn't see any mention of him offering any lemonade or anything. I bet he pimped Wrangler jeans and Prilosec non-stop too. What a jerk

Whatever. It was an observation after reading the newspaper article. Shows me you can't take the country boy out of the guy in the $9000 golf cart (that he could use once and turn into a plant holder if he wanted) and massive 450 acre estate (that he lives on "back home" with his wife of many years when he could be off in a strip club or banging a model). He could be further away from Earth than he is. Can you name a football player close to his status more "down to earth" than he is?
