budlitebrad
Seriously, if you were just handed a huge contract like Kelly or Pace or the dozen other guys that got paid recently, would you really feel the need to put 110% in for the entire season? Especially if you're on a mediocre team with no playoff expectations?
Sturphy
Seriously, if you were just handed a huge contract like Kelly or Pace or the dozen other guys that got paid recently, would you really feel the need to put 110% in for the entire season? Especially if you're on a mediocre team with no playoff expectations? I heard some talking head last night, I think it was Schefter, saying that these guys making the big dough are expected to make a lot of plays by their teammates and if they fall short or those expectations, there are problems in the locker room. I'm not sure how much I buy that, but that was his sentiment. He was essentially saying that it would be hard for guys like Justin Smith to live up to those expectations. Duchess Jack
gotta hope that most of these guys are gamers. gotta hope the competative spirit keep them going anything worth doing is worth doing well... now... I can see them though - wanting to rework in a year or two
Bengal Mania
I'd stay focussed, I guarantee it. In fact, I'll put my money where my mouth is...... I"ll bet you $100, cash money, that if you give me a $10MM bonus to do my job, I'll stay late and come in early!
budlitebrad
I don't doubt guys like Faneca, who shut up and did their job last season, but this FA class has a ton of problem children and other guys who just haven't proven sh1t yet. It'll be interesting to watch.
