darin3
So my wife, from time to time, will buy products from Morningstar Farms (available at your local grocer, most likely). They make chicken nuggets, breakfast sausage, corn dogs and of course burger patties..... but they're "veggie". Most veggie burger patties are pretty nasty, and honestly I don't recall getting the ones from Morningstar, but I tell you what... their corn doggies and chicken nuggets are awesome. You honestly can't tell the difference. So, if any of you "good" Catholics out there are fiending for meat products on Fridays, or if you just want to cut out some meat in your diet, I highly recommend trying these products out. Ah, and here's their website. Yes, the breakfast sausage on the front page looks like ass, but I ASSure you, they're not too bad.

Kid Cid
The food is pretty good, my wife like to get them a lot. I just have an aversion to calling anything made from non-meat products sausage. Don't try and pass it off as meat, it ain't meat. It's some concoction that your veggie chemists dreamed up. Call it a tofucciniamato patty if you want but it ain't sausage. Yeah the sausage is definitely lower on the list of my favorites.... The chicken nuggets and corn dogs, however.... I'm tellin' ya... throw a dog and a few nuggets in the oven with some oven-bake fries and you have yourself a pretty good meal.

Azazello1313
i've had a few of their things. as i recall, the breakfast sausage was nasty if you just picked it up and ate it like a sausage link. but they were ok if you sliced them up and scrambed them in some eggs or something. there are some black bean "burgers", that i think are made by them, that are actually pretty dang good. they don't try to taste "like meat", which i think is key to them actually being palatable. Right I've found that cutting up the sausage patties and putting them in with your eggs works alot better than simply eating them on their own. If you must, though, try making a little breakfast sandwich with one, using a biscuit with a little cheese. Yuh-mmay.

darin3
We tried the breakfast sausage patties. I absolutely hated them. Never again. If you're a corn dog and/or chicken nugget fan, don't let the iffy sausage dissuade you from trying other products.

But I'm not at all opposed to just eating the real thing, so there is just nothing at all to get me to want to eat a fake version of tasty meat treats.
