Return Of S&B
The Rams and Peteteacher2001 are on the clock with teh # 2 pick. Should we provide commentary with our picks or just make the picks? I know too much commentary could clutter things up but would make thinks interesting.
loyalboyd
Can we start another post with this draft. That way we can keep up with it without having to go to page 3.

I know too much commentary could clutter things up but would make thinks interesting. A brief comment/explantation for the pick would be ideal if the Huddler picking wishes to provide such info. Say two or three sentences. It's optional though.

rajncajn
You guys should get DMD to pin both the threads while they are ongoing.
peteteacher2001
The Rams and Peteteacher2001 are on the clock with teh # 2 pick. THe Rams and the #2 pick select OT Jake Long. With Orlando Pace not making a full season in almost three years, the Rams need to be able to have a dominant offensive line for new offensive coordinater Al Saunders' offense. I do not see Pace playing past this year and this high draft pick gives the Rams the chance to draft the next franchise left tackle for many years to come. Marc Bulger and Steven Jackson do cart wheels when this pick is made.
Tford
With the 3rd overall pick, the Atlanta Falcons select Glenn Dorsey DT LSU. The Falcons need players on both sides of the line and haven't been able to fill the gap left by the departure of Grady Jackson. Despite what Mike Mayock would have you think, I don't think Matt Ryan is worthy of a top 5 pick. Atlanta would be better served to find their QB of the future with one of their second round picks (or perhaps a two 2nds for a late 1st trade). With Jake Long off of the board, Glenn Dorsey is the pick.
Randall
You guys should get DMD to pin both the threads while they are ongoing. Can someone do a new draft only thread and DMD can you pin it? And can you pin the comment thread? Just posted them. Return Of S&B
With the 4th overall pick, the Raiders select RB, Darren McFadden ARK There’s just no way Al Davis will pass up on an athlete like McFadden with the fourth overall pick. Last year, he took JaMarcus Russell, this offseason the Raiders acquired Javon Walker, Drew Carter, Gibril Wilson, and Dangello Hall. Now, they’ll have the opportunity to take McFadden. With all the aggressive moves Al Davis has been making the past couple weeks it is obvious that Al is putting all his chips in. He wants to win now and will do whatever it takes to achieve that goal...and he knows he need's a playmaker on offense to do this. There is no other player in this draft that has the playmaking ability and potential to turn a weak offense around as Darren McFadden...so he will be the Raiders pick at #4. muck
Chief Dick was PM'ed but hasn't been in since early this morning. He better take Gholston.
peteteacher2001
The Jets take Leodis McKelvin, CB from Troy. Would have been Gohlston if he was there but the need from CB is pretty glaring as well. McKelvin will be a nice complement to Revis for the future in a team that faces Tom Brady twice a year as well. Was thinking of going Sedric Ellis here as well but didn't really know how well he would fit into a 3-4 scheme. Seems like a quality need pick that also sets the Jets up with two promising CB's for a few years to come.
