MikesVikes
I'm sorry to hear about that. Doesn't the game keep about half of the pot to begin with, and then to have them not paying out the remaining pot would tick me off even more. Anyone been paid by CBS? I won 2 platinum leagues and sent in affidavits almost right away, and got my checks about the middle of February. Bronco Billy
Would this be a bad place to make an off-color reference to PantherDave?

If you play in a league that retains this much, you pretty much should expect issues with the half they pay out. It's one of the issues I've always had with WCOFF. Those guys are making a freakin' fortune every year out of the suckers.

For Platinum it's $600, thus, a check for that amount. The only thing you have to spend in collecting, is getting an affidavit notarized, and postage. They don't keep "half" or anything. It must be that I don't have a long history in FF, but CBS is totally vilified on the Huddle. I suppose in the past, they probably deserved it, but I've had nothing but good experiences there in the last 4 years.
Bronco Billy
It must be that I don't have a long history in FF, but CBS is totally vilified on the Huddle. Of course they are. They pulled a massive confidence job on FFers about 5 years or so ago. Some people don't forget that. Then you hear the annual stories posted on every FF MB every year - and when I say every year that is not an exaggeration - of multiple issues regarding technical issues, lack of support, lack of access, live drafts being truncated, etc. Then you have the issue of CBS charging twice what other management sites charge despite all the issues mentioned previously. So when you say CBS is vilified here, you are absolutely correct. And IMNSHO, it is absolutely justified. If you are in a league that runs smooth as a top and has for years, I'd say based upon evidence presented that you are experiencing the exception, not the rule. Yeah, I guess I missed the bad-ole-days over there.

What is the league size? What is the Entry fee? How much $ from the entry fees are being paid out in prize money? Edited: They don't have the payout structure displayed from last season since it's over. Edited March 26, 2008 by MikesVikes

Yeah, 12 teams, $99 entry (79$ every team after that one), $600 payout. That's about half the buy in. It's all pretty clear up front. You can count on between 4-7 newbs and fools. I still had fun and won money.
Bronco Billy
I still had fun and won money. And that's the bottom line no matter where your league is set up. Nicely done.
