Guest Chappy
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/foot....trade/?cnn=yes Cowboys Make Offer For Pacman It's being reported that the Cowboys have offered the Titans a player and a late-round pick for DB Pacman Jones. The rumor isn't concrete, so take it for what it is worth. We aren't sure why the Cowboys would offer so much for a player who has yet to be reinstated by the league. Not to mention, no one else has expressed interest in Jones' services. | March 27, 2008 9:15 AM ----------------------------------------- http://www.tampabay.com/sports/football/bu...ticle432852.ece Simms Absent From Program Buccaneers QB Chris Simms has reportedly been absent from the team's offseason program. Simms fantasy value is still in serious limbo. The team had been rumored to want to trade him, but not even a snippet of a rumor has come out yet. Unless Simms finds a starting job, his fantasy value will remain very low. | March 27, 2008 9:20 AM ------------------------------------------ http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football...ing_in_on_.html Coles/Jets Close To New Deal There is a good chance that the Jets and WR Laveranues Coles could have an agreement on a new deal by Friday. Coles showing up to the team's offseason program is a good indicator that talks are going well. If Coles signs a new deal, he is still a borderline WR2/WR3. But with the question marks surrounding the quarterback position, Coles value is probably more as a WR3. | March 27, 2008 11:01 AM --------------------------------------------- http://www.star-telegram.com/332/story/548528.html Cowboys Inviting Running Backs The Cowboys have reportedly invited Texas RB Jamaal Charles, Oregon RB Jonathan Stewart and Arkansas RB Felix Jones to Dallas for a pre-draft interview. The Cowboys run for Arkansas RB Darren McFadden is likely over, so they have to start considering someone new to pair with RB Marion Barber. The Cowboys have said they want someone to share the ball with Barber, so whichever back they draft should have some future value. | March 27, 2008 12:41 PM ---------------------------------------------- http://www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ar.../803270370/1027 Titans To Draft A Running Back According to Titans HC Jeff Fisher, the team will likely use one of their draft picks on a running back. Fisher said bringing in a running back would be a good mix for the team's backfield. We don't see them using a first-round pick as they have other needs, but they could use a later round pick on a player like West Virginia RB Steve Slaton. There is a strong chance that the pick could push RB Chris Henry for playing time. | March 27, 2008 1:01 PM ---------------------------------------------- http://blog.nj.com/ledgergiants/2008/03/a_...on_tidbits.html Giants/Strahan Discussing New Deal It's being reported that the Giants have been in contact with the agent for DL Michael Strahan about a new contract. Strahan supposedly held out almost all of training camp last year because of his contract, but many believed he sat out to avoid having to do any work. It's being rumored that Strahan could ask for up to $10 million guaranteed to return next season. If he does come back, he will likely share time with DL Justin Tuck, who signed a fat contract a couple months ago. Strahan could still do enough to make him a borderline DL2/DL3 in IDP this year. | March 27, 2008 2:09 PM --------------------------------------------- http://www.jaguars.com/news/article.aspx?i...&source=rss Jags High On Terry The Jaguars are said to be "very high" on RB D.D. Terry. With RB LaBrandon Toefield gone, Terry could go into training camp as the team's third back, behind RB Fred Taylor and RB Maurice Jones-Drew. Terry could be someone to keep an eye on, but he likely won't be much of a factor being so low on the depth chart. | March 27, 2008 2:17 PM --------------------------------------------- http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/footbal...84&srvc=rss Watson Had Ankle Surgery Patriots TE Ben Watson's status for the beginning of training camp could be in jeopardy after having surgery on his left ankle, which bothered him for most of the 2007 season. Watson was only able to start eight games last year because of the injury, which seriously affected his fantasy value. If he is completely healthy by Week 1, he should be a decent TE2. | March 27, 2008 4:56 PM Edited March 28, 2008 by Chappy

piratesownninjas
It's being reported at cowboys.com that ( rumor has it) Dallas offered a 7th rounder and that was turned down. I've been hearing they offered a 7th and a player, but Tennessee wants a conditional 3rd.
Guest Chappy
Portis to get more Love? (last bit in the article) http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writ...buzz/index.html With the way Portis played and surprised many with his ability to produce last year, news like this can only help his cause and draft position. budlitebrad
Coles got the last 2 years of his contract guaranteed. Good for him, but the Jets office may regret it.
Guest Chappy
http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/03/27/...wboys-imminent/ Pacman Close To Being A Cowboy The Cowboys are reportedly very close to acquiring Titans DB Pacman Jones. The two teams spent most of Thursday trying to work out a deal. While it appears that Dallas is very confident that Jones will be reinstated, there is a slight chance he might not. If you own Pacman in a dynasty league, hold onto him for now. There is still a chance he could nab some IDP value if he plays. | March 28, 2008 11:32 AM ------------------------------------------------ http://www.tboblogs.com/index.php/sports/c...buccaneers-nfl/ Pittman Interest Growing The Broncos, Lions and the Rams are said to be the teams that are most interested in signing free agent RB Michael Pittman. The most value Pittman could have on all three teams is as a handcuff. At his age, he isn't a full-time starter anymore. | March 28, 2008 11:45 AM -------------------------------------------------- http://blogs.charlotte.com/panthers/2008/0...ers-attend.html Panthers Workout Mendenhall Illinois RB Rashard Mendenhall went through a private workout for the Panthers on Thursday. Mendenhall is projected to be picked in the same area that the Panthers hold their first draft pick (13), so there is a strong chance that they could use that pick on Mendenhall, who would likely share the carries with RB DeAngelo Williams. That doesn't spell good news for Williams owners, who are banking on him to be the outright starter. | March 28, 2008 1:26 PM ---------------------------------------------------- http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/arti.../803270452/1100 Harrison Will Be Fully Recovered? According to Colts owner Jim Irsay, both of WR Marvin Harrison's knees should be fully recovered by the start of this season. Irsay said that one knee had some cartilage problems, but is 100% healthy. It's just a matter of time in waiting for the other one to heal. Despite Irsay's confident attitude, we believe that Harrison's fantasy numbers will slowly start to decline, compared to what he has done before last year. He is still a great WR2, but he is not an elite player anymore. | March 28, 2008 2:41 PM ------------------------------------------------------- http://blog.nj.com/ledgergiants/2008/03/st...rification.html Burress Rehabbing Shoulder It's being reported that Giants WR Plaxico Burress is rehabbing a separated shoulder. Burress should have won the strongman of the year award last year, considering he started all sixteen regular season games with a severely injured ankle and a knee injury as well. Burress proved last year that he deserves WR1 consideration and should be drafted as lower-WR1 again this year. | March 28, 2008 2:48 PM --------------------------------------------------------- http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports...nt/5655006.html Schaub To Throw Texans QB Matt Schaub, who is recovering from surgery on his non-throwing shoulder, will be able to throw to receivers during the team's offseason program. Schaub's rehab seems to right on schedule and he should be completely healthy by the time training camp comes around. Draft Schaub as your QB2, with a chance to put up QB1-type numbers in certain situations. | March 28, 2008 4:56 PM
