Do you work for the Bengals and can tell us they aren't?

Personally, I don't think you have to work for them to figure that out.

You mean like mouth off on ESPN about how his organization is incompetent?

You are saying that's a lie?

I think he is telling the absolute truth. They are an absolute joke of an organization. Just look at Henry, he epitomizes the type of player the Bengals have let infiltrate their roster.

I don't like the "toe the company line" attitude some folks have. Sometimes you have to speak out to bring about change. If he keeps quiet, things remain f'ed up in Cincy. He said he wants a change, either from the organization or from a trade. He is right, the organization is headed in the wrong direction. They have lots of talent, but too many knuckleheads. Standing up for what you want is good IMO, and a good way to get things done. If people don't like the way he comes off, well that's their problem. He is an outstanding citizen, gives to charity and the community. So what if he likes to celebrate extravagantly. He is not a problem off the field. And gives 100% on it.

Chad Johnson is 99% correct.

Since it didn't penetrate your thick skull the first time: Chad's claim that he doesn't do anything wrong off the field was invalidated by him throwing his organization/teammates under the bus in the same interview.

Wasn't Chad involved in some scandal recently where he promised the winners of some contest Super Bowl or Pro Bowl tickets and then didn't deliver? That doesn't sound like an "outstanding citizen" to me.

You're absolutely correct that the Bengals organization is f'ed up. But I don't believe that punching one's coach in the locker room and then throwing the entire organization under the bus on ESPN is a constructive way to rectify their situation. Talking to Mike Brown and Marvin Lewis behind closed doors would be much more effective, IMO.

Accusation/rumor only. Denied by both Chad and Marvin Lewis.

Do you really think that Chad or Marvin Lewis would admit that it happened? They have ample incentive to sweep the issue under the rug and deflect embarrassment from their organization.

He's right that he doesn't get in trouble with the law, but he shouldn't be throwing the team under the bus for a new contract / to get traded. Make no mistake, this is all about the $$$. He wants a new big contract since the salary cap grew so much. The Bengals won't deal with him still having 2 years left. So, his only opportunity is to make it uncomfortable enough for the Bengals so that they will renegotiate or trade him.

I believe there was a heated exchange during that halftime. Chad went over the line in an argument and had to be pulled away, but actually punching his head coach? That is just unbelievable, and no team in the NFL would tolerate that.

So you believe the media and/or other sources but not coming straight from the horses' mouth?

Remember Rob Dibble and Lou Pinella getting into a fisticuffs in the clubhouse back in the early '90s? I think this happens a lot more in professional sports than we hear about.

Agreed that there's a strong possibility that the story was exaggerated. Then again, I'm sure that the Begnals would be in full damage-control/cover-up mode if it indeed did happen.
