His situation garners hesitation.

He is an Eagle. Which bodes poorly for consistency in play and looks. For long term veiwpoints the QB situation in Philadelphia is a concern as well.

If not for his 51 points against the Lions, and his great games with AJ Feeley under center, you would not be even asking this question.

the bolded part says it all....

however...McNabb is going to start this season in much better shape than last season since he's not coming off ACL surgery and will be able to spend more time getting his timing back rather than rehabbing...

so we may not really know what Curtis is capable of....even though he didn't exhibit any sort of quickness or separation....he just has speed and decent route running...

however, a true #1 opposite of him would allow him to be worth a ranking inside the top 25 or 30...

I love this kind of talk. I ignored this thread because of an ongoing dynasty draft I'm in where I had Curtis targeted (and have subsequently drafted as the 24th WR off the board). The 51 point effort (it was 48.35 pts in our league) showed what Curtis was capable of. He was the 19th best WR last year with that effort. Make that hugh game a 25 pt game and he's still the 24th/25th best WR in the league.

But here's where I see upside - Curtis tranferred teams last season. It's pretty well documented that WRs struggle a bit in their first year of changing teams - the timing & style with a new QB, the difference in O, etc. That's where I see upside with Curtis. Reid likes to throw the football. PHI was down from where they usually are in regard to passing yds for a season. There is no threat to Curtis as the #1 WR spot in PHI.

I see no reason that Curtis can't at the least repeat his season from last year, but without the one hugh game, but rather with a more consistent effort. Seeing Curtis as the #15-#20 in the league seems about right for him.

...I concur...
