Randall
Just some of my many disagreements: Charles at 118 Forte at 122 Awful late for Charles and Forte. I don't like TT taking a TE in round 2 but would be happy with the first two. For those reasons TT will pick different players. He's too hard to predict. Outshined
I can see the Vikings drafting another WR in the 1st 4 rounds. Bobby Wade may or may not be around in a few years...I could also see them drafting an OT since this year is pretty deep. McKinnie and Cook both have question marks going into the season. A QB...maybe? They definitly need a DE, but that doesn't mean they will draft one in the 1st round. If the top 3 or 4 DE are gone, I hope they don't reach and go BPA because we could use help everywhere except runningback and DT. They haven't had much luck with a 1st round DE end since when - Doleman? I am not sure how many of the DE's in this draft warrant a #17 pick? The top 4? They might be gone by the time we pick. rajncajn
Horrible picks for the Saints...Just at a glance after thier first pick I see DRC & Clady...no friggin way. And Stewart over Mayo or even Lofton? And with that 3rd pick given they lost Faine why would they take Guyton over Justice? I believe in shaking things up a little in a mock, but I sure hope the Saints can draft a lot better than that.
Randall
I wouldn't mind getting Jason Jones at the bottom of the fourth though. I can certainly see him doing that. I'd rather see Chris Ellis drop and take him instead of Davis. I just don't think he values TE's that highly.
chinatown dragons
As much as I'd love the Pats to land Gholston, his stock keeps rising so I think he'll be gone by the 7th..... Interesting pick of Steve Slaton....saw a lot of him this year and would love to see him in a Pats uniform as a change of pace back and security if Maroney goes down

He's a tough runner and I'm sure he'll be drafted, but with his lack of size and speed I don't see him doing much.
gsmayes
This guy must be a Lions fan...Mendenhall falling to them in the first...Mayo in the 2nd...addressing team needs in the 3rd and 4th? and please, no WR jokes.
policyvote
15 Lions Rashard Mendenhall RB Illinois45 Lions Jerod Mayo ILB Tennessee 76 Lions Anthony Collins OT Kansas 87 Lions Dwight Lowery CB San Jose St. 111 Lions Darrell Robertson DE Georgia Tech I'm happy with that, though I think we may draft DE higher than that. IIRC Mayo is an OLB that might do well at MLB . . . the Lions have been trying to convert OLBs to MLB ever since Earl Holmes left, and it hasn't worked yet. I'd like to see a more natural MLB there, but then this is the Tampa 2, so who knows? I have some doubts about Mendenhall, but I think he's the right combination of power and speed to excel in the one-cut, zone-blocking kind of scheme the Lions are hoping to employ. He and Bell would make a decent one-two, I think. If Anthony Collins is as HUGH as his college coach I think we're good with that pick, and we certainly can use more youth and depth at CB and DE. Dutch Oven
I don't see Felix Jones being available at 50. I'd be suprised if the Cowboys don't take him in the first round. Chadman
82 Vikings John Carlson TE Notre Dame This would make a whole lotta people in our hometown VERY happy, and it would be a great fit for both. Evidently with the poor combine showing in pure speed and bench press, he has fallen on many boards. The kid will be a good pro, very disciplined and good hands. I don't see the Vikes taking a DT on the third pick, after signing another one and having such strength at that position.
Giants56
I don't pretend to be a draftnik by any means but while he has the Giants taking a Safety first round the one he has them taking is not a name I have heard before. I also don't see the Giants spending a 2nd rnd pick on a DT unless he is far and away the best player on the board. With Robbins, Cofield and Alford and Tuck spending some time on the inside I'd be surprised. I also don't see them going through four rounds without taking a LB. Man who'd fire the Yorks
I've got a new username(Man who'd fire the Yorks), was formerly DocNiner52. New name implies what I'd do if I could to start turning the orginization around.Anyway, I see this mock has the 49ers taking QB Chad Henne with the 75th pick. That'd be a great addition IMO but I think he'll go sooner than 75. Yes Smith has had a revolving door at the OC position which surely hasn't helped. At this point I am of the opinion that Alex Smith is NOT the QB of the future for the 49ers in spite of giving him the benefit of the doubt trying to improve with so many different OC's that certainly is difficult for any young QB to have to experience. They've been trying to justify taking him #1 overall and I say the effort has failed so let's move on. Is Shaun Hill the answer, I don't know but I have my doubts about him as well. They're not going to get Henne with the 75th pick so if they want him they might as well take him with their 2nd round pick(#39).Is that too early for Henne? Possibly, but their other options haven't faired so well so they might as well take the risk and take him in the 2nd. I wouldn't mind Flacco either but the franchise is not gonna go anywhere until they get a QB.I think they stand as much chance of getting better by taking Henne or Flacco instead of continuously floundering about trying to make Smith a franchise QB of which he is not. The defense is getting a little better but if they don't get players who can help them put points on the board all else is futile. I say, and it's just my opinion, take the best available WR in the first and either Joe Flacco or Chad Henne in the second and start rebuilding this storied franchise all over. First and foremost however is to FIRE THE YORKS!!!! Edited April 13, 2008 by Man who'd fire the Yorks

BeeR
I guess I'm the only one who doesn't see Chris Long falling to the Raiders. Nice storyline, but I don't think so. Also think KC just about "has" to take OL, even if it is a bit high for one, w/that first pick. Edited April 14, 2008 by BeeR
kingfish247
3 Falcons Sedrick Ellis DT USC34 Falcons Brian Brohm QB Louisville 37 Falcons Antoine Cason CB Arizona 48 Falcons Oniel Cousins OT UTEP 68 Falcons Wesley Woodyard OLB Kentucky 98 Falcons Thomas DeCoud S California 103 Falcons Eric Young G Tennessee Having Jake Long and Dorsey off the board at 3 is a worst case scenario for the Falcons. While they need DT, they really need help overall on DL. I'd say instead of reaching a tad for Ellis they'd rather take Chris Long or Gholston. Not taking Long or Gholston is gambling that Anderson can get his game together in his 2nd year and Abraham can stay healthy... not good. I doubt Brohm is still there at 34 but I would be ecstatic if they got him. I'd be very concerened if they went DL in round 1, took Brohm, THEN waited until pick 48 to address the OL. They need secondary help but 2 of their top 5 picks on DBs is extreme for a team with so many obvious needs on OL and DL. By addressing the DL issues, they can field a patchwork secondary until they can rebuild it via FA and draft next year.
