New Dynasty League Drafts/auctions

I'm starting a new dynasty league veteran auction/draft in a few days, and I'm hoping other leagues have started/completed ones recently that I can use as a reference.

 

If you have a dynasty league that started this year (IDP or non-IDP), please post a link to the vet draft/auction. I will repay you with respect and love.

 

My new semi-local 10 team dynasty IDP league is starting tomorrow. We're doing a live auction for the first 5 roster spots, and then moving over to a slow draft to fill out the remaining rosters.

 

I've never done an auction before, and I've read all the articles here on the site about it, but if you've got any tips on how to budget for a 5 player auction, I'd appreciate that a lot too.

Other than the completions/incompletions stuff, it looks fairly standard. Am I missing something?

Passing yardage is less then the normal 1pt/20 yards(.05 decimal)...it is .041

FUMBLES LOST are -4 and INTS are -2...take a close look at QB scoring for the top 16

5 round inaugural dynasty auction complete!

 

This was a group of rank amateur auction drafters. We agreed to acquire the first 5 players via auction, and then move on to a slow draft. We had 200 to spend on 4 RB/WR/TE and 1 QB. Because of the limits of fantasyauctioneer.com, if you allowed someone to draft a postion, you had to require it, so everyone was required to grab 1 QB in our rules.

 

This auction was a lot of fun. Although we only did a partial auction, I'd have to say that it was a blast. Much more interesting than a draft, because if you want a player, you go get him... no just sitting back and saying "Damn, he got snaked."

 

It was also really interesting figuring out strategy, and watching people's money totals start to dwindle, and realizing what bargains you can get on good players.

 

(in the results below, I'm pretty sure Sammy Morris was a mistake, but nobody cried foul, so we let it go)

I know it's hard to judge from just the first 5 picks... everyone looks pretty good. I like HI a lot, and I like BBT. Well rounded teams with good values... but there are a lot of pics left to make.

It came down to who wanted them.

 

I bid SJ up somewhat, but I was saving my money for Marshawn and AP who hadn't gone yet.

 

Reggie Bush, while a top flight RB, was the #16 RB on my personal list, and most people had already wrapped up spending money on RBs by the time he came up.
