Ryan Losing Steam? (I think it's just wishful thinking on the Ravens' part.)

There is a chance that Boston College QB Matt Ryan could fall out of the top-10 in this year's draft.

We have seen it happen many times before where a player comes in with some hype, only to slide down the first-round. The Ravens could use a quarterback of the future, but it's not known if they will use their No. 8 pick.

Cowboys Sign Curtis

The Cowboys have signed TE Tony Curtis to his exclusive-rights tender.

Curtis won't have much fantasy value splitting time with TE Anthony Fasano. Just ignore him.

McCown Wants To Start

It's being reported that Buccaneers QB Luke McCown would like to compete for the starting quarterback job this year.

Despite is gripings about not getting an extension, QB Jeff Garcia will go into the season as the starter. But there is a good chance McCown could beat out QB Brian Griese for the backup role.

C.Cameron to handle play calling

Baltimore Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh will leave the play-calling to coordinators Rex Ryan (defense) and Cam Cameron (offense) this upcoming season.

This isn't a huge surprise as Ryan and Cameron are both very successful and well-respected coordinators in their own right. It is, however, important to note for the stock of Ravens' offensive threats such as RB Willis McGahee and TE Todd Heap. Running backs have flourished under Cameron's play calling, system, and guidance. RB Ladainian Tomlinson and then RB Ronnie Brown had great success in Cameron's system and TE Antonio Gates also developed and excelled under Cameron's guidance and tutelage. The confirmation of Cameron calling plays in Baltimore only enhances McGahee's and Heap's respective values for this upcoming 2008 season.

Who's Kicking in KC?

The Chiefs could be looking to draft a placekicker for the second consecutive season.

Billy Cundiff is currently the top kicker, and 2007 fifth round pick Justin Medlock failed to pan out. Whomever kicks in KC will find PATs difficult to come by under Herm Edward's offense. On the other hand, with Herm running his famous draw play on Third and Seven from the opponent's 30 yard line, the KC kicker could get extra chances for Field Goals.

Adalius Thomas Staying Outside

LB Victor Hobson, who recently signed a one-year contract with the Patriots, has spent his career playing on the outside but will likely shift inside in New England. A thickly muscled 252 pounds, Hobson should be able to withstand the every-down grind of playing in the middle, thereby allowing the Patriots to keep LB Adalius Thomas on the outside. Thomas started out 2007 inside but was more effective after shifting outside around midseason.

This is good news for both LBs. We hope this alignment will allow both players to put up their 2006 season stats. They'll provide good depth on your fantasy squad.

L. Booker Looking Good

Dolphins Head coach Tony Sparano can’t stop gushing about RB Lorenzo Booker. Although Booker is slightly built (5-10, 191), Sparano said the second-year running back jumps off the screen in game tape, with a burst that’s comparable to that of ultra-quick WR Ted Ginn Jr.

It's hard to trust any coach-speak this time of year, but Booker might have a chance to produce while RB Ronnie Brown recovers from injury.

Jackson Drawing Interest

Both the Eagles and Patriots are reportedly interested in Appalachian State WR Dexter Jackson.

Jackson isn't much of a receiver, but could be the return-man both teams are looking for. He has great return skill and an impressive 40-time.

Rivers A Non-Participant

Rehabbing a torn ACL, Chargers QB Philip Rivers did not participate in any offseason workouts this week.

Rivers says he has begun running and is able to do full-speed drops. He is confident that he will be ready by training camp.

Pacman ruling soon to come?

CB Adam "Pacman" Jones is supposedly going to apply for reinstatement to the NFL by next Tuesday according to his agent Manny Arora. Arora also thinks it would make sense for Jones to learn his reinstatement status by next week in order to know his status prior to the NFL Draft.

Jones is supposedly willing to forfeit a 1.2 million dollar portion of a performance bonus that he has already earned in order to offset the 1.275 million dollar portion of his signing bonus that the Titans want to recover. Jones' agent also seems to be aware that any club acquiring his client will seek to restructure his contract to a lower salary heavily tied to incentives. According to his agent, Jones appears to be amicable to this. Jones appears to be making every concession to return to the league and when he does his fantasy impact could be substantial if he lands in the proper situation......Stay tuned!

I don't see any possibility of the Ravens bypassing him at 8 if he fell that far. Therefore, how could he fall out of the top 10?

Interesting information on Ryan. I don't see him as a franchise player. I see him at best as being a middle of the road QB. The guy has a gunslinger mentality, but he doesn't have the cannon of an arm to back it up. If he had trouble putting the ball accurately into a window in college, what's going to happen when those windows get much smaller in the bigs? Tough for a team to spend top 10 jack on a player of that caliber.

Can he play at the NFL level? I think he can. Will he ever be a top 5, build-your-team-around-him, QB? I don't see it. I was amazed the way the hype built around him.

This means he'll probably end up in Kansas City...
