Guest Chappy
http://www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci_8997195 Foxworth Re-signs with Denver Bronco cornerback Domonique Foxworth signed his tender this weekend that will pay him a one-year, $927,000 salary for the 2008 season, or roughly double what he made in 2007. "Not bad at all. I'll take it," Foxworth said. We'd take it too. Foxworth will be the nickel cornerback for Denver. | April 21, 2008 6:28 PM Edited May 7, 2008 by keggerz

Bronco Billy
Foxworth sucks. He's too weak to play bump coverage, doesn't have enough recovery speed, and gets beat for almost all jump balls. That forces him to give up ginormous cushions before the snap, leading to repeated 10 yd outs moving the chains. When the D coaches finally get him to creep up to within 8 yds of the LoS, the opposing WR gives him an out & up and leaves him in the dust for a long play. The only thing that is big league with Foxworth is his mouth, which he runs like he's a stud CB. Plummer took hugh grief for the home playoff loss in the AFC championship game a couple of years ago, but it was Foxworth who more than any single player caused DEN's defeat. He made Roethlisberger look like a stud as he was playing with a 12 to 15 yd cushion (not exaggerating, either - I was at the game) and Roethlisberger kept converting 3rd & long after 3rd & long. DEN's front 7 had a game plan that had PIT's O shut down and was controlling first and second down, and then Foxworth let them off the hook. Go to the gamebook and look at how many 3rd & 5+ yds PIT converted on in the first half. DEN didn't stand a chance in that game, they would have had to have played perfectly on O to be in it. Terrible signing and a waste of money. They could have sign a street FA and gotten as much out of him, with some possible upside. :shakinghead:
