I have never paid any attention to Hard Cider, but I had a taste of one the other day, and it was pretty interesting. At first taste it taste like apple juice, but like beer (or something with alcohol) going down. Just curious if anyone has any knowledge, it is something that has been around for a long time. Is it made with apples? As far as I know hard cider has been around commercially since at least the early 90's. I went to an Irish bar in college once (95 or so) and they were touting a "snakebite". It was 50/50 bass and hard cider - I drank the crap out of them and I finally asked the bartender why they were called that. He told me I'd find out in the morning.
