Guest Chappy
http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article...0331/1049/rss14 Smith Should Excel In Offense The offense that the Lions will be running is the same offense that rookie RB Kevin Smith played in Central Florida. Smith is expected to compete with RB Tatum Bell for the starting job, but all signs point to Smith being the future starter in the offense. If Smith wins the job, he could have some value as an RB3 in an offense that wants to run more. | May 03, 2008 5:39 PM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.syracuse.com/bills/index.ssf?/b...ylist=syr_bills Bills to use Fullback The Bills are prepared to reintroduce a true fullback to their offensive set. It's unlikely the team will carry four running backs. The current RB stable includes Marshawn Lynch, Fred Jackson, Dwayne Wright, and sixth round pick Xavier Omon. Hopefully this will improve the running stats. The Bills are coming off a season in which their offense finished 30th in the NFL in yards gained, while scoring a league-worst 20 touchdowns, which was also the fewest in franchise history in a 16-game season. | May 03, 2008 5:08 PM ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.nj.com/eagles/times/index.ssf?/...&thispage=2 Brown Not Happy It's being reported that Eagles DB Sheldon Brown is disgruntled with the team and HC Andy Reid. Brown is reportedly unhappy with the way the Eagles are handling the DB Lito Sheppard situation. He is also said to be angry about being "lied to" by Reid over an unspecified issue. Brown doesn't do enough to warrant an IDP consideration. | May 03, 2008 3:11 PM ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://carolinagrowl.com/SteveReed/archive...f-the-year.aspx Muhammad Lines Up As Starter Panthers WR Muhsin Muhammad lined up as the starter at the team's first practice on Friday. Muhammad will have the inside shot over WR D.J. Hackett simply because he is more familiar with the offense from playing in it before. It will be something that owners will have to watch during training camp. Muhammad isn't a lock to start Week 1. | May 03, 2008 2:53 PM ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ http://cowboysblog.dallasnews.com/archives...-to-garner.html Jones Compared To Garner According to Cowboys running backs coach Skip Peete, RB Felix Jones can be compared to former running back Charlie Garner. Garner wasn't that bruising back, but he excelled as a runner and a pass-catcher. Expect Jones to backup RB Marion Barber, but he could have some value as an RB3 in PPR leagues. | May 03, 2008 12:05 PM --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://insider.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index...%3dstateChanged Gandy Cut The Indianapolis Colts have cut OG Dylan Gandy. Another surprise cut by the Colts. Gandy was expected to compete for the starting ORG spot vacated when former OG Jake Scott left to sign with the Titans this off-season. Expect second round draft pick OC Mike Pollak to become the early candidate to replace Gandy in the starting lineup. The Colts love Pollak's athleticism, intelligence and mobility.....which are all a must in the Colts' complex offense. We will watch how the line comes together in training camp in order to assess the impact this may have on the Colts' offensive playmakers. | May 02, 2008 11:52 PM --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://insider.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index...%3dstateChanged (Same as above) Fletcher Cut The Indianapolis Colts have cut TE Bryan Fletcher. This is a big surprise given the lack of experienced depth at TE behind TE Dallas Clark. Look for newly drafted TE Jacob Tamme to assume the primary backup role with support from rookie TE Tom Santi as well. The Colts use multiple TE sets, so each of these rookies could have value if either secures the second TE spot in the Colts offense. | May 02, 2008 11:41 PM ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://blogs.thenewstribune.com/seahawks/2...%20Smithdetails Morris Begins As Starter Seahawks RB Maurice Morris reportedly started the team's minicamps as the starting tailback. It is believed that Morris was the starter because he has been there the longest. But RB Julius Jones, who has the best chance at being the opening day starter, also played some with the first-string offense. Morris' best chance in any fantasy league is as Jones' handcuff if he can land the backup role. | May 02, 2008 8:11 PM --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bronco Billy
Smith Should Excel In Offense The offense that the Lions will be running is the same offense that rookie RB Kevin Smith played in Central Florida. I guess that explains the Lions' woes on O - they're running a college O.
