Daven Holley injury may seal Quinn's fate

Local radio is reporting CB Daven Holley was injured recently and that leaves the team with 3 corners on the roster. The team is stuck with two second year players and a career back up since the team traded Leigh Bodden and booted Kenny Wright. Rumors have flared up again with Brady Quinn being the main trade bait in a deal where the Browns get Lito. I highly doubt Phil gives up any more draft picks for corner help, but the team can not go into a season with so little depth and experience.

The Browns also supposedly made contact regarding Ty Law.

We should know more tommorow.

Why would the Eagles trade for Quinn when they blew a high-ish pick on Kolb?
With the drafting of Kolb so early last year, that doesnt really make sense for Philly, IMO.

That could be one of the worst rumors I ever heard

snippet from Tony Grossi's (beat writer) story

So now what's GM Phil Savage going to do?

He virtually has ruled out laying out big bucks for unsigned 14-year veteran Ty Law and trading for Philadelphia's Lito Sheppard, who also would demand a new, big contract. Sheppard has had a recent history of injuries and may not be worth the double investment of a high draft pick and a new contract.
