Bronco Billy Posted June 2, 2008 Share Posted June 2, 2008 Well, that makes the starting RB position basically a 2 horse race between Young & Torain, with Pittman a drakhorse and Hall a non-contender (please, please, please don't bring in Alexander :prayingsmilie: ). Young has apprently put in significant offseason work and has put on 7 to 8 pounds of muscle, putting him at a playing weight of 212 lbs in an effort to be an every down RB. I still have questions about his abilities between the tackles. Shanahan has alreay stated that he felt Torain was equivalent to first round talent and has compared him to TD. I don't take his comparisons too seriously since he compared Griese to Montana. I do take Torain's production and running style when healthy into account. We only have 10 rounds so overpaying for a potential backup is ok with me. And yes it is IDP...and no there is no IDP rookie or vet worthy of my roster at this point. I'm glad that the Broncos won't hesistate to cut a player that just won't work, but this signing-bonus-cut-the-next-year routine has to stop, like last years DL that got a big bonus the year before. Also, they really NEED to investigate a guy's background BEFORE signing him. How do you not know he's got too many issues to warrant a bonus?
