Randall
Sounds like Tory Holt. He did the same. Rams first-round pick Chris Long vows to be in training camp on time. "I was never into that holdout business," he said. "That's real important to me...as a teammate more than anything." It's nice to hear, but may not matter what Long wants personally. His agent will be handling negotiations. Source: St Louis Post-Dispatch

If Long wants the contract done in time to get to camp, that's what happens, not the other way around.

If he held out, Howie would probably kick his ass... Edited June 2, 2008 by The Wolf

Bronco Billy
It's nice to hear, but may not matter what Long wants personally. His agent will be handling negotiations. His agent doesn't make the decisions. He is there as legal counsel. If Long tells him to get a deal done before TC starts, that's the agent's job. It may cost a little money (relatively speaking) in the short run, but may pay off well in the long run. Good attitude, good position to take.
