untateve
http://www.nakedwhiz.com/productreviews/digiq2/digiq1.htm The BBQ Guru DigiQ II is the latest offering from the folks at The BBQ Guru. It is a replacement/upgrade for the very popular Competitor model which preceeded it. The BBQ Guru has become a household word amongst the BBQ community, but if you haven't heard of them, they make devices that monitor the temperature of your cooker and then adjust it and control it by controlling the airflow through the cooker. Airflow is controlled by means of a blower attached to your cooker. By turning the blower on and off as required, the DigiQ II can keep your cooker within a few degrees of a set temperature as long as there is fuel to keep the fire going. In addition, the DigiQ II monitors the temperature of your food and alerts you when the food is done. For those of you unsure what this means, this will maintain my temp inside the Egg throughout a low and slow cook at whatever temp I set the BBQ Guru at. My wife is a good woman. untateve
master very disappointed in young apprentice. I follow the way - http://www.nakedwhiz.com/taoofcharcoal/tcbook7.htm The Book of Overnight Fires Thus spake the master of charcoal: "Tao never sleeps, but those with the Tao may." 7.1 A novice said to the master,"There is a master who uses a magic device to monitor and maintain the temperature of his charcoal fire when the fire must burn overnight. He tells this magic device what temperature he wants, and the fire stays at that temperature until the charcoal is exhausted. Surely, this is not of the Tao?" The master replied, "Even masters need their sleep."

Enlightened people are not cultured; Culture is not enlightenment. Content people are not rich; Riches are not contentment. So the master of charcoal does not serve himself; The more he does for others, the more he is satisfied; The more he gives, the more he receives. Nature flourishes at the expense of no one; So the master benefits all men and contends with none.

I do have the remote temperature gauge and alarm just in case though. I
