GWPFFL BrianW
http://collegefootball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=831641 Clearly the QB situation will be a question mark, but it was like that in 2003 and 2006 and they were fine.

GWPFFL BrianW
I have a hard time believing UGA gets through without a loss. Unlike LSU last year, they actually have to leave there home state pretty frequently. That trip to Arizona State is a big time trap game, as we saw with Tennessee last year, trips out west aren't good for anyone (that is if they are playing someone with a pulse). Oklahoma to me has the best shot out of anyone. Tricky test in Seattle, and obvioulsy the tough game vs Texas, but other than that they should roll. You have your annual land mines at TAMU and Okie State at the end, but OU should roll over both of them. Everyone else that could be a potential problem is in Norman. Add the fact that OU owns the Big 12 title game, and I believe Oklahoma will be playing in Miami. Probably vs the winner of Ohio State-USC. My prediction is Oklahoma vs USC in the Orange Bowl. USC/OSU is gonna tell us where both teams stand, and if USC can get Sanchez moving the ball - with that D wow, they will be tough to beat. USC has all their tough pac 10 games at home, CAl, OU, ASU. The only potential tricky away game is OSU. I am with ya - OU vs. USC

I agree with Oklahoma having the "good" schedule, but until they can prove to me that they can win a BIG game they don't deserve to be mentioned as a National Champion contender. GWPFFL BrianW
Ahh yes, the same Oklahoma that has owned the Big 12 conference this decade. They won a lot of Big games. At the end of the day only 2 teams get a chance at THE game. Oklahoma got it in 2000. I think we all lose sight of how hard it is just to get to that game. Yes the last 2 seasons have had major bowl letdowns, but lets put things in perspective. Since Stoops took over in 1999 they've won 1 National Championship, owned Texas, and won 5 Big 12 Championships. They also played in 2 other national championship games as well. Those are a lot of "Big Games." As a fan, I put a lot of stock in being able to take care of business and win your conference consistantly. At the end of the day only 2 teams can make it to the Mythical National Championship game, so if that's the only barometer then there are a LOT of teams that can't win the "Big Game". Besides, I think we do an even greater disservice to the teams that beat the teams that "can't win the big one". For example, Florida 2 years ago. Instead of beating Ohio State down (Yeah they suck vs the SEC) how bout we give more praise to how extraordinary it was that Florida destroyed them. Same with USC when they demolished Oklahoma in 2004.

Talk about "disservice" How about we give more praise to how extraordinary it is that LSU beat both those same football programs that Fla & USC did on the biggest stage in college football. GWPFFL BrianW
I thought Florida's win as underdogs was far more impressive. No offense, but last year seemed like a year where the national championship was gonna have to land somewhere, and no one really wanted it. Florida also did it on a neutral field, as did USC. Florida never plays on a neutral field. Deep down inside every individual's soul, there is an abiding love for the Gators.

To be REAL honest no offense taken. Can only imagine that if I was a true Big 10 fan that getting your Big 10 Champion thumped by Florida made last seasons's thumping by LSU over the Big 10 Ohio State much more tolerable. GWPFFL BrianW
Florida shocked me (I wasn't alone). LSU didn't shock me, though I did predict Ohio State to win. In both cases, the better team won.

You just hope that so your house's resale won't plummet after you let your kids talk you into painting their room those hideous colors.
