Steve Smith ejected

Gotta like a 5'10" WR that can lay some lumber, even if its only on a CB.

From CBS:

News: Panthers CB Ken Lucas has been carted off the field with an ice pack above his left eye after a fight with teammate Steve Smith. The melee came while most starters were on the sidelines during a special teams drill Friday at training camp. Linebacker Jon Beason eventually pulled Smith off Lucas. Lucas walked to a tent, holding his head. Smith was then escorted there by receiver Muhsin Muhammad to talk to Lucas. Smith appeared to be kicked out of practice and spent several minutes talking to kicker John Kasay on an adjacent field.

Not hte first time Smith has thrown a punch.

Funniest part of this story is that the poor Kicker is off by himself on another field until the ejected Steve Smith comes over to talk to him.

He and Lucas fight every year but not like this.

I said it then and will say it again.....S.Smith is just another PUNK ASS BITCH that makes way too much money playing a game......Guy thinks he is the second coming of somebody but in reality if he wasnt playing football he would be pumping gas until the stations all went self serve.....

 to all the s.smith lovers

An Ellipsis has three dots. If you're going to use it, at least do it correctly. Steve Smith has a serious attitude problem, but I wouldn't say he's "just another punk ass bitch" I know a ton of "PUNK ASS BITCHes" and none of them can get separation and run a go route as effectively as he can.

Actually Smith is the opposite of a punk ass bitch. The guy works every day like his job is on the line and his sole motivation is proving people wrong. He takes on anyone, plays whistle to whistle and plays hurt, that is a good leader in my book.

My favorite is how he kept a copy of Sporting News in his locker, one that ripped Carolina for wasting a 3rd rounder on a return man and after his break out season he confronted the writer about it.

Gee thats too bad for steve smith is such a leader and team player......well at least thats what was told during the thread on jarrett last year when he made a stink about watching film and speaking to media about playing time with jarrett.....

My guess is, if you took a poll of NFL players who'd love to have S Smith on his team, you'd be damned close to 100% and I'd be surprised if Lucas himself wouldn't be one of the many who voted "hell yes".

Let's not pretend for a second that the type of person who'll excel as an NFL player is the same type of sort that you want in the cubicle next to you. As others have stated, Steve Smith is anything but a punk ass bitch. Dude works his tail off. Now, that doesn't mean that he'd be suited for many jobs outside of catching passes, but let's not also pretend that doing so is some cush job. It may be a game, but In my "real job" line of work, nobody is waiting to take my head off while I'm not looking.

Get a clue.

Got to say that the whole "he'd eb pumping gas" argument is weak.

Most guys that are in the NFL are there because they have shown a level of dedication to what they do that most of us couldn't even dream of. There might be a few 'specimens' who can play on their talent alone. I'm pretty sure that the undersized, out of nowhere, Steve Smith isn't one of them.

This being said. The fellow doesn't seem to be exactly an upstanding citizen...
