detlef
anyone ever had this? saw it at the store yesterday and was thinking of trying it out...... Don't. Now, I'm the first to say that roses get a bad rap in the wine world, but frankly, it's because of crap like white zin and white merlot. If you want to drink rose, check out some spanish ones. Really pretty fruit, great balance and inexpensive. In general, I find CA roses to fall into one of two categories. They're either cheap garbage or overpriced ones made by smaller reputable wineries that are no better than most of the stuff you can get from Spain, France, or Italy at 1/2 to 2/3 the price. Bier Meister
i'll use white zins and merlot's in reductions for dessert sauce.... and on rare occations i throw some in when doing large batches of sangria. dry roses on the other hand are some of my favorites in the summer
CaP'N GRuNGe
IIRC I had a bottle of White Merlot a few years back and it wasn't bad at all. And I'm sure it was just a cheap Beringer or something like that.

AtomicCEO
White Zinfandel was so bad that it took me too long to drink red Zinfandel... which I liked.
