piratesownninjas
He doesn't deserve it. I don't know if I would go that far, but I think it's a bad move from the Eagles side... Westbrook may be one of the two most talented backs in the league, but he's no spring chicken, and he's not durable at all, and he's at a position where he's going to get beat up every week... I can see this making one of the most loved players in Philly happy, but could seriously bite them in the rear end a year or two down the road when Westbrook's wheels fall off. They are extending his contract a couple extra years, of which he'll likely never see a dime, in order to make the deal work on paper I think it s good move on their part...in essense, they are letting their players know that, if you you outperform your contract, we'll take care of you. The guy currently has 3 years left on a 5-year, $25M deal....LT got a $20M signing bonus, almost as much as Westy's entire contract. BW was drastically underpaid, the Eagles realized it, and made up for it. Not too many orgainzations would offer up some ching when there was no real compelling reason to do so...good for them. LosGatosEnFuegos
Westbrook is officially downgraded in my rankings. RBs getting paydays spells bad news.
Avernus
Westbrook is officially downgraded in my rankings. RBs getting paydays spells bad news. it really does depend on the RB...I may be biased, but I just don't see it in his character...
RC94
it really does depend on the RB...I may be biased, but I just don't see it in his character... If I am biased in this it's in the opposite direction, but I too don't see it in his character. I think he will continue to play well.
