A sign that this year may not be your best

Running back Ahman Green, who missed all or part of 10 games last year with a bone bruise in his knee, was hurt on Houston's first play. Green caught a 5-yard pass from Schaub and fell down before he was even hit, then limped off the field. The Texans said he has a strained groin.

Last year we wondered why HOU would want to acquire a 30-year old back with a history of injury?

Pssst... Mike. HE DIDN'T LAST ONE PLAY AND WASN'T TOUCHED.

This does not bode well for the HOU rushing carousel game.

Oh yes, and...

... Texans RB Chris Brown dressed but did not play. Brown has been hampered by a sore back during training camp.

Just grabbed Green in round 11. In the comment field, I said something along the lies of, "Heres to a Healthy seasn for Green.YEAH RIGHT!!!"

That was about 3 or 4 hours before the game.

ETA - This was in the IBL, so way to represent the huddle eh? :D

The only way Ahman Green has value is if you can get him as an RB4 in the =>12th round, he stays healthy enough to have 2-3 good games to start the season, and you can trade him to upgrade elsewhere before his knee explodes again. BIG if on the trade side, though every league has a guy who'll bite after a couple games.

It amazes me the number of people who still view Green as a great value pick in this year's draft. You couldn't pay me to have him on my teams this year.

I want looking for value so much as I was a late rd bye week filler. He is like RB 4 on that team behind Lynch, Graham, and Rudi. Why not take a chance on a guy that should be the starter in round 11?

Answer - Because he will never play.
