MrTed46
I know this is irrelevant because he is poop but is he currently the starter for the Falcons? If so, any prediction how long that will last?
Randall
If Ryan keeps performing he may start the season.
MrTed46
If Ryan keeps performing he may start the season. I didnt see the pre-season game but his stats looked good with a TD. Did Ryan play against the 1st team defense that pre-season game?

Ok maybe not poop but obviously the Falcon organization did not think Redman was the future..so I know its a matter of time. I am just trying to get information on Redman since I dont know much. He came in in the 3rd series(Ist quarter) and a lot of starters were still in. Mike Peterson and Mathis were as were Sensabaugh and Reggie Nelson. Capt. Stanky
Redman was a stud the second half of last year - don't know why you think he was poop. The only reason Redman had any relevance last year was because he knew Patrino's system. He played for him in college at Louisville. There's a reason Redman had been out of football for a couple of years before last year. If Ryan isn't starting by week 8 (after the bye) I would be surprised. I don't think you can start him right out of the gate because of how putrid Atl's line is. Edited August 11, 2008 by Capt. Stanky
Savage Beatings
Redman was definitely the beneficiary of a weird opportunity in Atlanta last year... but still , he made the best of that opportunity and showed at least some value at the Pro level. I think that it remains to be seen who will actually start at QB for Week 1, but in reality the only FF value that Redman has is as a bye week replacement. And by the time the bye weeks roll around, it's a good bet that it won't be Redman behind Center.
WaterMan
I'd like to see him play against some teams that can play defense first. But saying he was a stud last year isn't the case at all. Look at this stats. And they were against NO, Ari, Stl, and Sea....
Tford
I believe that Redman starts week 1 unless Ryan really gives Mike Smith a reason not to. That being said, Ryan starts after the bye week unless Redman really gives Smith a reason not to.
Atlanta Cracker
Supposedly each of the 4 Qbs will get to start 1 of the 4 preseason games and it will be decided from there. Redman only played a few series in the first game and had an interception on a deep ball that wasn't all his fault. Ryan looked very good once he got settled. I don't really see any reason not to start Ryan at the beginning of the year if he keeps developing so my guess would be he's the starter well before the bye week and Redman won't do you much good.
