Jackass
Ok, our draft is this weekend and we have a rather complex and different scoring system for our team defense. Points allowed is the biggest factor though so i'm trying to determine which teams will give up the fewest points. There's not a ton of analysis on this so i'm turning to the huddlers for help. The first teams that come to mind are: Minny SD Chicago NE (although depth is a concern) Dallas (maybe?) Any other teams come to mind or perhaps teams that are flying under the radar? FantasyDream
You may want to consider the Giants on that list too well at least i have a maybe for them like the coyboys Ok, our draft is this weekend and we have a rather complex and different scoring system for our team defense. irish
Raiders, Texans and Cardinals? They'd be flying under the radar. Edited August 13, 2008 by irish
Randall
New Orleans
irish
New Orleans Probably not likely. However, they will be flying well below the radar and if they surprise, they'd make a solid WW addition. Vilma and McCray would need to step up their game and play like their '06 versions.
skylive5
Since points allowed is the biggest factor.... this is from last year: IND PITT TB NE SD GB SEA I don't see IND repeating. However, think that the rest will again be right there at the top except maybe GB and a dinged up NE.
wildcat2334
echoing Sky somewhat above - I would go with IND, SD, GB or SEA
MrTed46
Fantasy points in most leagues: Minny Giants Chicago TBB SD thats my top 5 IMO
FishFreak
I like Philly to have a big rebound year all around. Their secondary is awesome on paper which should translate into more sacks, INT's and turnovers.
T-Scorp
Minnesota is a trendy pick but they are still having issues with the secondary especially with Williams missing at least the first 4 games. Their DL does not have a lot of depth either. Just be careful tiering them so high.
kingfish247
If the focus is on least points allowed I'd also look at the Titans and Bucs. Especially the Titans... they run the ball well and often and they stop the run pretty well.

Sshhh...they'll likely finish top-5 defensively this year.....solid DL, fast (albeit inexperienced LBs), and perhaps the best secondary in football....and a seasoned offense that will keep them off the field. MonkeyOne
Any validity to the worry that the Bears D will be on the field a lot this year because of the poorer O, get more tired than they might of and concede more?
piratesownninjas
Any validity to the worry that the Bears D will be on the field a lot this year because of the poorer O, get more tired than they might of and concede more? They run their offense on 4th downs. They've rarely had solid offenses and it hasn't effected them yet. The only thing that's slowed them down is injuries. If Harris and company stay healthy, they'll be monsters.
Double Agent
I'm hoping Chicago is strong this year...I've got them. But I had SD and Minn ahead of them. I think I had the Pats ahead too. Our league is points against and your typical sacks, ints, etc. No points for special team yardage.
i_am_the_swammi
Perhaps? tough to argue with Samuel, Brown and Sheppard sharing the CB duties, and Dawkins/Mikell as the safeties. There may be a better five combined players out there, but if there is, you'd have to convice me they are better than these five.
Kansas State 2000
Seattle ... they play 49ers, Cardinals and Rams TWICE.
Avernus
I like Philly to have a big rebound year all around. Their secondary is awesome on paper which should translate into more sacks, INT's and turnovers. plus the explosive additions at KR and PR....special teams just got a facelift along with the speedy front 7 and the veteran secondary... Avernus
who would be better?... they'll be in the Nickel package 60% of the time and the front 4 has a strong 8 man rotation....a strong front 4 that can get to the QB and a strong secondary with a speedy LB corps....
