MrTed46
Why didnt Coutu kick in the 1st pre-season game? I dont see him on the stats. I think he can be last years Crosby (especially with Branch and Engram down).
tazinib1
Olindo Mare got all the placekicking opportunities for the Seahawks Friday in Minnesota. Mare kicked three extra points and two short field goals while rookie Brandon Coutu stuck to kickoffs. Mare has reportedly showed better accuracy in camp, but Coutu will likely get a chance to make an impression next week. Seahawks21
Yeah, Coutu will kick next week, not sure if he gets all of the tries, but I would be that is the plan. From the little we hear about the kickers, they both seem to be doing pretty well. Supposedly, Mare's leg looks completely rejuvenated, and he is near the form he was at several years ago when he was one of the best kickers in the NFL. From what I know of Holmgren and Ruskell, I would say that they would probably try and go with the veteran, but then again, Holmgren has gone with 2 rookie/young kickers here during his tenure (Lindell and Brown) and a rookie punter as well.
