i_am_the_swammi
time for some real scouting....preeason game #2, when teams play their starters a solid half of football. Looking for: 1. the Eagles to generate lots of defensive pressure from the DL 2. the first sighting of Assante Samuel 3. some speedy returns from D. Jackson in the punt game 4. Westbrooks first action of the year. 5. how Stewart looks in Panther blue for hte first time this year 6. Delhomme's arm strength Preseason sucks, but it always is nice to see your team strap on the pads and hit!

Reggie burned me bad last year so I've been targeting K.Curtis almost stalkingish this year. Love me some Westbrook!!!
tazinib1
Wasn't Curtis' numbers were primarily generated in three games? Three great games, a bunch of junk. Very true, but considering R.Browns injury history, I'm expecting ALOT from K.Curtis this year. Otherwise I wouldn't even bother.
Mojo Rising
And Reggie Brown heads to the locker room ALREADY with hamstring issues. did it look serious? maybe now I'll pull the trigger on the rook DeSean Jackson
tazinib1
You don't want to wait four rounds later and take DeSean instead? Funny you should mention DeSean. I don't remember the post, but I pimped Jackson pretty hard awhile back only to get shot down by an Eagle fan. But no, K.Curtis should see alot of targets if R.Brown is hampered all year. I'm comfortable with him being my #4 WR with upside. Especially in PPR leagues.
i_am_the_swammi
with LJ and deShaun in the mix tis year, I look at Curtis as a mini-Welker...lots of catches, some deep balls, but the deep route will be jackson's this year. Westy looks done after one series....whew, keep him healthy!
Randall
Looking at Carolina D especially Thomas Davis at Will, and Godfrey at FS.

kpholmes
Funny you should mention DeSean. I don't remember the post, but I pimped Jackson pretty hard awhile back only to get shot down by an Eagle fan. As a Cal fan, I love DeSean. As a football fan, I don't know how well he'll fit in Philly's system. At a speedy 5'9", you really need a big physical target lined up opposite of you in order to spread the defense and be successful down field, Steve Smith and Mush Muhammad several years back is a perfect example. While Reggie Brown and DeSean have identical heights and very similar builds to Muhammad/Smith, Brown has yet to prove he can be the tall, physical WR that McNabb needs to open up the passing game for his small fast targets like Curtis and DeSean. Could Jason Avant be that target? Hopefully. We'll just have to wait and see. And until they can get a solid, physical target we won't be able to see DeSean's max potential any time soon in the passing game. (He'll still be a stud returner) Just IMHO of course. tazinib1
Anybody know if Stew is gonna play tonight? I seen him suited up (with pads on) on the sidelines. Would love to see him get some game action even though its against the 2nd team defense.

i_am_the_swammi
D-Will looks great tonight. 1 run for 23 yards....the other 7 rushes, 9 yards. Isn't that the same D. Williams that couldn't win a starting job the last couple years?
