tazinib1
Need more info. Size of league, scoring system, etc etc etc.
budlitebrad
Shockey is a good TE1 in Payton's offense, but still with some injury risk. Meachem is worth a pickup in deeper leagues, maybe as late round flyer. He looked good in preseason and could push for more playing time. Randall
Is Patten available? I like him better than Henderson.
tbimm
Meachem Shockey Arrington I fear that Henderson may get the ax on final cutdown day.
gasface
meachum will probably have a better year than patten
Seahawks21
I'm hearing that Devery Henderson is rising from the dead and having a very impressive camp. He is a darkhorse to get the #2 gig again. I expect Shockey to be a top 4 TE this year if healthy. Brees obviously likes big athletic TE's (Gates), and with the lack of quality depth at WR, I am thinking he will test Shockey early and often. gringuljete
Sean Payton has a real problem with the way Henderson drops passes. Henderson is on the bubble. He may not make the cut. Shockey is being rested. There is some question of injury, but Payton really wanted him. He will be thrown to, alot. Meacham has looked good in preseason. He will probably come on as the season progresses. One thing that concerns me is Brees having too many targets to throw to. Colston Bush Shockey Patten/Meacham Seems like alot of mouths to feed. Also, the defense will be better than last year. If the defense isn't giving up as many points, the offense doesn't need to score as many points. Avernus
I like Shockey as a TE1 as long as he's healthy.....and I stress that, so if I drafted him, I'd try to get a #2 TE as soon as possible... I like Meachem because of his big play ability and the offense that he's in....this is a great combination....eI expect a few games where he might only get 3 catches, but he'll have 85yds including a 50yd TD...if someone were to get hurt and he stepped in, I think he could really be a force...in that offense anyways... SLAYER
Meachem will be the #2 by mid season at the latest.
Brentastic
This is a good topic considering Colston's knee issues. I know the Aints aren't worried about it, but I am. Let's just say that Colston disappoints this year with his swollen, surgically repaired knee. Will Brees still be a top tier QB (he is my #3)? Will Shockey, Bush and Meacham be able to contribute considerably. This Colston thing has me concerned about the Aints offense.

The offense will be potent, they have to with the Saints D.
dirtdickens
Never been a Robert Meachum fan, for all the athletic ability he has, he never did anything in college. He was a shock pick when he went as high as he did in the draft and really I dont see what his big draw is. Take Patten, had him last year and he was a pleasant last resort. He did play again tonight and caught 4 balls - I guess that's a good sign.

BeeR
I'm hearing that Devery Henderson is rising from the dead I guess I missed it....when was he "dead" in the first place? In fact where has anyone got that he was anything other than the likely WR2? Still, I wouldn't take any NO WR other than Colston except in bigger leagues. It'll probably get spread around too much. His work ethic and ability to catch the passes he needs to catch have him in a position to fight for his job every season. If Meachem can prove to be a quality deep threat then he may go the way of Stallworth. Lance Moores value in special teams really hurts a marginal WR for the Saints. Moore is catching passes that Devry is dropping. He may hang in there on final cutdown day but I really don't know how productive he will be.
