DMD
We oiften talk about 12 team leagues as the standard but not everyone has 11 friends. What size leagues do you play in and what would you prefer if you only played in one league? We are including a ten team SOFA league this year since ten team leagues are more common than I think most believe, for instance.
Puddy
I am in two 10's, two 12's and a 14. If all else is equal, I prefer the 14 as I believe owners who do more homework are usually rewarded in larger leagues when the pickins' get slim. Hat Trick
Just absolutely hate 8 team leagues and really don't care for 10 either. I really prefer 12, but 14 is just as fun.
The Wolf
I am in five 12-teamers and one 16-teamer. No doubt, 12 is optimal. Like Hat Trick, I really do not care for 8 or 10 team leagues. However, if you are in a larger league (16 teams), it really should be an IDP league as well.
Caveman_Nick
12 team is too regular.....and I have not done much 16 team redraft. All in all I am a fan of the 14 team format if for no other reason than that it disrupts people's rhythm. people get used to 12 team....and it gets a little boring. HowboutthemCowboys
you forgot 32.. 12,12,12,16 and 32. I like 12.
keggerz
16 (all of mine are 16 with the exception of 2-32 teamers and 1-12 team draft and best ball format)

tazinib1
I won't touch 8-10 team leagues. I'm in 6-7 12 team keepers, a few 12 team redrafts that I've been in for years, but I really like the 14-16 team IDP leagues which is what I will probably have exclusively in a few years. JoJoTheWebToedBoy
5 - 12 Team 1 - 16 Team Like the 12 team, but to tell the truth.... The 16 Team league is much more challenging.

tazinib1
What no 32 team leagues? Check this one out. By far the most challenging I'm in. But with 2 shows coming up, I will not have the time to participate this year. http://football.myfantasyleague.com/2007/standings?L=72723
Duchess Jack
I am in two 12 team leagues, a 14 team league, a 16 team league and 32 team league. I like 16 team leagues best. It makes the middle to late rounds much more important.
Riffraff
I play in 10 team (start 2 QB, PPR, 12 starters), 12 team (redraft), 14 team (deep dynasty), and 18 team (survivor) leagues. I like to diversify my FF portfolio, but prefer the deeper 14 team league for competitiveness. Edited August 20, 2008 by Riffraff
Avernus
I always aim to get my league up to 12 teams but usually end up with 10....I'd like to get 14 if possible as that would play to my strength more....and a whole lot more than 10 teams especially.. jaxfactor
I've been in one 8-team league a few years back and will never do so again. It rewards the people who really haven't done their homework. I have been in a few 10's , but really like the 12 team format. Just joined my first 16-team BOTH league this year and did so for the challenge, although I have my work cut out for me with the 14th pick. But I'm sure I'll find it a very rewarding experience and am looking forward to the draft. I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes my favorite league because I love a challenge. MikesVikes
Go ahead and shoot me, but I play in a 8 man league. It's actually 16 franchises with one NFL player copy per 8 man division. My friend got me into the league, it's too small and the rules suck but I still play anyway. If you have a 1st or 2nd rounder that doesn't come through for you, than you don't have much of a chance. I've had incredible rosters every year and it only takes one Rudi Johnson to screw it all up. I've won the league before but the 16th seeded team has beaten the top ranked team in the playoffs on more than one occasion and I believe it's happened two or three years in a row. I was one of those top ranked teams that got beat once. Edited August 20, 2008 by MikesVikes

We are including a ten team SOFA league this year since ten team leagues are more common than I think most believe, for instance. Also depends on the format... I like the challenge of a standard 12 team league. Large enough to keep you on your toes for your roster decisions and draft. If it was an 8 or 10 team league with larger lineup and/or roster requirements I'd probably be more prone to play in one.
Zooty
What no 32 team leagues? +4 I prefer 12. Having joined a few 16 team dynasties, I'm starting to think they are over-rated. The bad teams never get better. Same with the 16 team redrafts. Once a team gets 1 or 2 injuries, they are done due to the lack of any sort of waiver wire. cliaz
I am in two different local leagues. 12 team and 14 team. I prefer to be in a 16 team league. The pot is always bigger and it is more challenging to play yet not so involved like a dynasty league.
Bring Back Pat!!!
One 12, three 32 teams, two 16s and one that really is a 16 (32 team with 2 conferences, separate rosters), plus a 12 team local Edited August 21, 2008 by Bring Back Pat!!! loaf
without reading the replies, I prefer 12. It makes you work hard enough to know the later round guys
