Let It Ride
Guys, Our ten year league has decided to actually make a change for once! Bunch of conservatives. Were a 12 team redraft league and performance standard scoring. 1 QB,2 RB,3 WR(TE included),PK,D We had our draft already and will conduct an IDP draft seperately. We use CBS Sportsline. What these guys want for a first time trial is to be,you guessed it, conservative out of the gates. Were looking for all DL,LB and CB's to have equal value. Looking for a good week scoring to be like a Team D or a PK. (Say about 10-16 pts as a great week). Dont want the player have too much signifance on the total team score. I have seen tackles as being 2 or 3 pts. We were thinking more in the lines of .5 pts per and assisted tackles do not count. Only going to start 1 IDP and have 1 bench player. Basically were going for a vanilla type of IDP scoring system until we get used to it and can tweak it next season. Going off of this can anyone help us with a scoring system that would best suit what I have mentioned? Appreciate anyones help......
raysteen3
I too am just starting to add IDP to our 18-year league, and I'm the "conservative" commish but couldn't resist the lure and intrigue of having 2 starting IDPs each week (at any position - LB, DB, DL). I too wanted the scoring to be in the range of a TE/PK/DEF-ST so I devised this scoring, after researching around the web and consulting some other IDP writers for other sites. This is what I came up with. Still favors LBs, but projected scores using our scoring system puts IDPs in between TEs and PKs/DEF, so I think it looks good. Tacke = 1 pt each Assisted tackles = .5 each Sack = 3 pts Half sack = 1.5 pt (obviously - half a sack) INT = 5 pts Safety = 5 Pass Defensed = 2 Blocked kicks = 5 Forced fumble = 1 Fumble recovery = 1 TD = 6 (for any type of TD) Hope this helps. Slugs
My local has been using IDPs since 1993, so we have a fair amount of experience. We draft 10 players per team & must start 1 DL, 1 LB, 2 DB & 1 Flex. Tackle 1 pt. Assist .5 Sack 2 pts Int 3 pts Fumble recovery 1 pt. Of course 6 pts for TDs unless over 50 yds then worth
