Packers - Broncos

Pass Interference on the first play, so it did not count as a play.

Ah, that is kind of what I had figured... but didn't know for sure. Thanks for the clarification.

Anyone else thinks Rodgers is looking pretty sharp, or is that just the bad Bronco defense?

Rodgers looks good and he's getting good protection. 16-19 and a 123.2 passer rating.

The RBs aren't doing too much, but Jackson had a nice run after a catch for good yardage.

The defense looks terrible, especially the line without Pickett and KGB. Both Collins and Bigby got hurt too.

Any word on how bad Bigby's injury is?

This is all I've seen so far:

INJURY UPDATE

* Sitton’s night is over with a left knee injury. He has ice on it and is walking around, but he won’t return. That means it’ll probably be Tony Moll and Daryn Colledge from here.

* Both starting safeties were injured in a three-play span. First, Atari Bigby hobbled off after being in coverage on a completion. The word on Bigby is an ankle injury. His return is questionable. Then, Nick Collins went down — and stayed down for more than a minute — after contributing to a tackle of Hall. Collins’ teammate, DT Daniel Muir, appeared to deliver the blow to Collins’ head that took him out. Collins was holding and rotating his neck. Aaron Rouse and Tyrone Culver now are in as the safeties.

Denver - A few quick things before we call it a night:

* Coach Mike McCarthy said of all the injuries to the four starters -- Josh Sitton, Nick Collins, Atari Bigby and James Jones -- Sitton's was the most serious. He has a left knee injury that trainer Pepper Buress wrapped heavily before Sitton boarded the team bus. He didn't use crutches or anything. Sitton said the team will do more tests on Saturday.

* Collins had a neck stinger thanks to the helmet of Daniel Muir. Collins said he is fine and will "no doubt" be ready to go next week, but this should be watched. The Packers have always been cautious with stingers.

* Bigby rolled his right ankle but he wasn't sure how serious it was. When asked if he would be ready for the season-opener, Bigby said, "I hope so."

* Jones is fine. Just banged knees. That's what Charles Woodson did as well.

Some quotes from McCarthy:

* I thought it was more important for the offense to play a lot better. The QB position has a lot to do with that. I thought Aaron Rodgers had a very good night. He was sharp, he managed the offensive tempo. Obviously he was smart with the football and was very good on third down. I thought it was important for our offense to come out and establish some tempo and have some productivity early in the game. We were able to continue that for four quarters.

* There were things that went wrong last week and that was enough for everyone. This week we played at a lot higher level. We were more physical, our pad level was down. We pass protected better. We made good decisions. We passed the ball and caught the ball better. We didn't play very well last week and we played a lot better this week. Anytime you win a game it's important to recognize the successes that are hard to achieve in this league regardless of what time of year you win.

* On Denver's 99-yard drive: "The big drive was disappointing. The strength of our defense has always been third down. We weren't as sharp as we have been and we need to tackle better. That's two weeks in a row that our run defense was not as good as it has been. Getting off the field on third down is the strength of our defense. We're better than we showed on that drive. We'll learn from it."
