Redzone Rowdie
I think this guy has tons of potential, but what has this latest injury going to do for his season?
Randall
Just banged knees. Seems OK. I posted this on the Packer game thread. Denver - A few quick things before we call it a night: * Coach Mike McCarthy said of all the injuries to the four starters -- Josh Sitton, Nick Collins, Atari Bigby and James Jones -- Sitton's was the most serious. He has a left knee injury that trainer Pepper Buress wrapped heavily before Sitton boarded the team bus. He didn't use crutches or anything. Sitton said the team will do more tests on Saturday. * Collins had a neck stinger thanks to the helmet of Daniel Muir. Collins said he is fine and will "no doubt" be ready to go next week, but this should be watched. The Packers have always been cautious with stingers. * Bigby rolled his right ankle but he wasn't sure how serious it was. When asked if he would be ready for the season-opener, Bigby said, "I hope so." * Jones is fine. Just banged knees. That's what Charles Woodson did as well. Some quotes from McCarthy: * I thought it was more important for the offense to play a lot better. The QB position has a lot to do with that. I thought Aaron Rodgers had a very good night. He was sharp, he managed the offensive tempo. Obviously he was smart with the football and was very good on third down. I thought it was important for our offense to come out and establish some tempo and have some productivity early in the game. We were able to continue that for four quarters. * There were things that went wrong last week and that was enough for everyone. This week we played at a lot higher level. We were more physical, our pad level was down. We pass protected better. We made good decisions. We passed the ball and caught the ball better. We didn't play very well last week and we played a lot better this week. Anytime you win a game it's important to recognize the successes that are hard to achieve in this league regardless of what time of year you win. * On Denver's 99-yard drive: "The big drive was disappointing. The strength of our defense has always been third down. We weren't as sharp as we have been and we need to tackle better. That's two weeks in a row that our run defense was not as good as it has been. Getting off the field on third down is the strength of our defense. We're better than we showed on that drive. We'll learn from it."

Randall
Today is diffrent, but Grant practiced. Sitton, Jones have sprained knees By Greg A. Bedard Sunday, Aug 24 2008, 05:58 PM Green Bay - There are several updates on the injury front for the Packers. Here they are: * Packers coach Mike McCarthy said today that both right guard Josh Sitton and wide receiver James Jones have sprained knees and are week to week; * It appears that Sitton's is the more serious of the sprains, as his status for the season opener on Sept. 8 is in doubt. They'll have to wait and see on both. * Defensive tackle Justin Harrell is on his way to Charlotte to get a second opinion on his troublesome back. * CB Charles Woodson just has a knee bruise; * LB Brandon Chillar (lower back) should be back on Monday, and Cullen Jenkins has a couple of minor injuries but nothing that will keep him out long; * Scott Wells (back) and A.J. Hawk (chest) are close to returning but won't play this week; * Ryan Pickett is also getting there. McCarthy said they're targeting him for the season opener. * DeShawn Wynn returned to practice. Grant back, several players out By Greg A. Bedard Sunday, Aug 24 2008, 04:12 PM Green Bay - The good news is running back Ryan Grant is back on the practice field and taking handoffs today. The bad news is several players are not practicing. Players out: LB A.J. Hawk (shoulder), S Atari Bigby (ankle), LB Brandon Chillar (unknown), S Charlie Peprah (hamstring), DT Johnny Jolly (unknown), DT Cullen Jenkins (unknown), DT Ryan Pickett (hamstring), DT Justin Harrell (back), C Scott Wells (back), CB Charles Woodson (knee), WR James Jones (knee) and G Josh Sitton (knee). Woodson and Jones both banged their knees against the Broncos. Jones, Sitton and Harrell are the only players not to at least watch practice today. The severity of Sitton's injury is still not known. Tony Moll is still taking Sitton's place at RG. Tracy White is at WLB for Chillar. Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila is taking part in practice although he seems to be a little limited.
