Big Ernie McCracken
Almost as many interceptions as completions For a guy touted as a Joe Montana type of player, he's been pretty slow on the uptake at the NFL level. I wonder how long Leinart gets to turn it around. Edited August 24, 2008 by Big Ernie McCracken

BeeR
I'm amazed Warner wasn't announced the starter months ago. How many times does he have to prove he's way better than Leinert and just plain good? Leinert is (hopefully) the future, OK - but how about playing for this year? tazinib1
Maybe he's sharing his hot tub with the front office. Warner proved last year he's still got it. Until he proves otherwise, it amazes me that he's not given the keys.
Randall
But the last time he was given the keys he drove daddy's Ferrari into the ditch. He has to prove he can drive.
Deathpig
Leinart wasn't terrible against the Saints and Chiefs, though those teams don't really sport 'top' defenses. Meanwhile, Oakland's first team pass defense has been pretty darn good all preseason, though facing the Niners, Titans, and Cardinals isn't exactly a 'Murderer's Row' of awesome quarterback play. FishFreak
Leinart just doesn't seem to have "it". Let's not forget, he also has one of the most talented WR's duo in the league with Fitz & Boldin. How can you not look good throwing to those guys? He couldn't have been placed in a better situation and has just stunk up the joint.
