Puddy
I thought it was bruised ribs. Has the news gotten worse?
budlitebrad
I thought it was bruised ribs. Has the news gotten worse? +1 That's all I've seen so far. Doesn't seem serious at all.
Chavez
Has the news gotten worse? I hear they had to amputate his skull.
Puddy
I hear they had to amputate his skull. Well, that's better than his arms or legs. A skullless WR may still catch some TD's.

Scooby
you'll have to be patient w/Scooby, just given birth to a new puppy who keeps her up all nite. Yes, I also heard bruised ribs, but isn't that the same injury that Rudi Johnson had last year that kept him out consecutive games?? Hopefully the wind just got knocked out of Colston, but I worry cuz I have him as #1 wr in several drafts so far and I'm barely able to keep up with news in light of the new addition to my brood. SLAYER
He went up for a TD between 2 defenders and when he caught the ball they sanwich him and he was slow getting up, he later went to the locker room and was back on the sideline 10 minutes later. Yes he has bruised ribs, but he is suppose to be ready by week 1.

Skippy
rib injuries always scare me because you never know for how long theyll linger.....lets hope hes alright yep me too. Kind of like the groin or the high ankle. I hate all those injuries because they seem to range from nothing to everything without any real indication of which side of nothing or everything that it will end up on. Not to mention the "he is a game time...".
tbimm
There have been no headlines here in New Orleans about it being any more than a ding. Preseason doesn't lend to bringing a star player back in after getting nicked. Near as I can tell he will be fine to open the season. Brentastic
What about R. Bush - I just read that he went into the locker because of injury and never returned to the field. Anyone know the story with that?
tbimm
What about R. Bush - I just read that he went into the locker because of injury and never returned to the field. Anyone know the story with that? Same as Colston. No headlines down here so again my guess is all will be fine. That said I think Bush will be a far less important piece to anyones fantasy success than Colston will. The Saints running game looks as though it is an afterthought and Bush can not run between the tackles.
SuperCharger
I've got Colston on my short list of #1 receivers this year. I draft next Sunday so I have some time to see how this develops. Edited August 24, 2008 by SuperCharger
BigTen
I've got Colston on my short list of #1 receivers this year. I draft next Sunday so I have some time to see how this develops. Unfortunately mine was Friday night and he is my #1. :fingercrossed" I hope this is just a minor issue.
wolfden1
I hear they had to amputate his skull. This may be the wave of the future for TO, Chad, ....hell, if Freddie Mitchell can talk that much crap with no career at all the sky's the limit. Pkillebr
Unfortunately mine was Friday night and he is my #1. :fingercrossed" I hope this is just a minor issue. Same here, mine was on Thursday and Colston is my #1. I grabbed Eddie Royal in round 14 and managed to also get S Smith (CAR) and Dwayne Bowe in a 12 team league so if Royal turns out strong I should be ok I think. Pope Flick
Well, that's better than his arms or legs. A skullless WR may still catch some TD's. True dat - Terrell Owens does it at least a dozen times a year...

Congrats on the pup, Scooby! I'm sure you were glad to get THAT out of the way with all this Central Texas heat! I think he should be OK. Looks like they're definitely just bruised, not broken, which is huge. He should be ready to go come Week 1.
Randall
From NOLA Receiver Marques Colston said he's "100 percent" after leaving Saturday night's game at Cincinnati with bruised ribs. Tailback Reggie Bush was not in the locker room, so we won't have an update on his status until this evening, but his thigh bruise also was not considered serious. Cunning Runt
I hear they had to amputate his skull. Nice. I chuckled out loud. Not full blown cavorting and frolicking mind you, but certainly an audible chuckle.
