ABearWithFurniture
The Texan's coaches might want to rethink letting the defense practice with baseball bats and chains... Hello Darius Walker!
darin3
Relying on Slaton in a few leagues as a flex/backup. Maybe this'll let him drop in WCOFF in a couple weeks. If he can bounce back from this nagging injury, I think he'll be a nice little PPR back.

darin3
Turf Toe on a RB is not good at all...this can linger for a loooong time Especially with a RB like Slaton, who relies on that first, hard cut to hit the hole.
ABearWithFurniture
He looked pretty good last Friday in the pre-season game so wonder when this happened...has he been playing through it for awhile?
Savage Beatings
Who is it here that keeps trying to pimp Ron Dayne? We may have our own Jeff Gillooly here at the Huddle.

tazinib1
I've also got Slaton stashed away as a nice little PPR gem for the mid-season. Hopefully this doesn't linger all year..he's got a great opportunity to get significant action.
Randall
He looked pretty good last Friday in the pre-season game so wonder when this happened...has he been playing through it for awhile? From the Texans site- Rookie Steve Slaton was bothered by turf toe after Friday’s game and rode an exercise bike during practice, but he doesn’t anticipate missing much time on the field. The coaches probably will rotate Slaton and Chris Taylor as the starting backs against the Bucs and then work in Darius Walker and Marcel Shipp.

Of course I'm wrong most of the time so who knows.

tomfin2000
The Texans are God's gift to fantasy football. If it wasn't for them, there wouldn't be a starting RB on our waiver wires every week.
RussMan
I also nabbed him very late in the draft... green and brown wont last.. one may not even make the team... slayton has cut and go big play ability... > Dominique Davis

Avernus
turf toe is bad...combine that with the fact that he's a a tasty morsel....and I wouldn't even be concerned with him...

gasface
whats not looking good for the texans is that a 185 lb rookie with turf toe may still be their best option to get the most carries this year
RussMan
There are reportedly "sneaky suspicions" in Houston that Steve Slaton will play more in Week 1 than Texans coach Gary Kubiak has let on. Slaton won't start (Ahman Green will), but anyone who's tracked the situation should know that the rookie is likely to play a lot on third downs and between the 20s. Against Pittsburgh, however, he'd be a poor fantasy option. Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
