cdrudge
I could see this just as easily turn into a RBBC with Perry, Watson and Dorsey.I know it's too early to tell, but any guesses to how carries might pan out this season? I grabbed Watson in one league last weekend with my second to last pick and he probably wasn't on anyone else's radar. I got another draft tonight and will be taking another look at things.... The Irish Doggy
Wow, I really had hope that he would make the comeback. I'm pretty shocked given the fact that the Bengals will have to take a cap hit of a couple mill. Didn't think they had that much room to maneuver... Looks like they made a big house cleaning move today. They cut long time RT and former pro-bowler Willie Anderson too. Although he's definitely been hurt for a while now. I have Perry and Watson on a dynasty team, but I'll be shocked if either makes something of themselves this year.
theeohiostate
The Houston Chronicle does not expect the Texans to take a look at free agent Rudi Johnson.Johnson has never ran behind zone blocks the Texans probably couldn't handle another injury problem at running back. If Rudi does get picked up -- which is certainly no guarantee -- it's unlikely to happen before Week 1.
BillyBalata
-- Lions to Work Out Rudi Johnson -- Sun Aug 31, 2008 --from FFMastermind.com Mlive reports ex-Cincinnati Bengals RB Rudi Johnson is in Detriot tonight and is expected to take a physical and have a workout with the Lions on Monday. Johnson rushed for more than 1,000 yards in three straight seasons with the Bengals (2004-2006) before his production dropped off last season when he gained 497 yards -- averaging just 2.9 yards per carry. Randall
Rudi Johnson signing doesn't appear imminent by Tom Kowalski Monday September 01, 2008, 10:01 AM Free agent running back Rudi Johnson is taking a physical this morning and is expected to work out and then visit with the Detroit Lions coaching staff later this morning. The Lions, though, are on more of a fact-finding mission than taking the final steps before an imminent signing. If the Lions attempt to sign Johnson, it will be to replace Tatum Bell as the No. 2 running back. The Lions are happy with rookie third-round pick Kevin Smith, who is expected to get the majority of the work load in the offense. The Lions are also happy with Marcus Thomas, the fifth-round pick by the San Diego Chargers who was released and then claimed on waivers by Detroit.
