Scooby
I think the annonymous source is Cedric Benson and Ricky owes him money and Ricky told him that there was no signing bonus and is keeping the money. Just kidding.
Smackdown
Good for Ricky and good for the Dolphins. He's got a lot of baby mamma's to pay off. Bad for Ronnie's dynasty value.
BigTen
"The source, speaking on condition of anonymity, told ESPN's Chris Mortensen on Saturday that there was no signing bonus, but Williams' salary in 2009 could increase significantly over this year's base of $730,000." I like hearing that.
Randall
Ricky's trying to change his legacy. It's usually the last performances people remember. If he can do it good for him. It'll show people with drug problems they can be over come.

Randall
I disagree...because he doesn't have a drug problem... he smokes pot....it's not like he's hooked on smack... No of course not. He wasn't addicted. If you get suspended from your line of work enough against your will it's a problem. Of course one could say the NFL is the one with the problem. At least Bill Maher would say so. I find smoking pot medicinal personally, maybe he uses it the same way?... it doesn't really affect my ability to do work because I'm not stupid about it.....but it alleviates migraines, or potential migraines for me...so it's hard for me to just quit....so I can relate... I don't know enough about his situation to really knock it.....but if he was addicted to coke and tested positive for it even once or more, then it's really bad because that stuff clears out after 24 hours... Accordng to him it was at night at home to release stress. He said in Miami it was him and defense and he did it to relax. This country has had a pot obsession for decades. Groups are even against growing hemp for rope and it has really no high. Still it is illegal and there are rules at his workplace.

Square
I disagree...because he doesn't have a drug problem... he smokes pot....it's not like he's hooked on smack... C'mon man, you know its not that simple. I drink but I can't say someone doesn't have an alcohol problem because I can handle my booze. I'm not trying to turn this into a conversation about addiction or dependency. RW is a different kind of cat and I don't think anyone (RW included) has him completely figured out. Looking at him as just an athlete, he has looked impressive in an offense that will run the ball often. His main competition is coming off an ACL injury but did look good against the Saints 2nd stringers (although that isn't saying a lot for any RB). Best outlook is that RW can be had for a RB3 price and put up RB2 numbers for at least the early part of the season. I drafted him and picked up Chris Johnson for TEN as I thought he might be strong later in the year. It may not work out at all that way, but it seemed like a solid strategy to get a guy that would get more carries early and then take a long shot on a guy to finish the year strong. If they signed a 31 year old to an extension...it must mean that Sparano and Parcells think there is something left in the tank. I believe (like some fellow huddlers) that the year isn't the biggest indicator, but the mileage of a RB. Just my 2cents, I don't mean to offend or act like I have knowledge of people's grip on substance abuse.

Scooby
99% of the potheads I know think they know everything...and it is funny b/c most of them couldn't hold down a real job for 4 hours. Potheads don't just smoke at night, they somke when they wake up, then sit around and skip work b/c they are too stoned to go in, then they eat and have to light up again to keep it going, then at 4:20 you need to smoke another one, and by then your kid is tired of waiting on you and does something else and the pothead could care less b/c he got to get his high on. No pot is not addictive...fool.

Scooby
THIS IS YOU AVERNUS>>>PLEASE READ.... Josh Gordon Addiction Josh Gordon addiction has clear signs and indicators and this page will discuss this in depth. Josh Gordon addiction is simply an uncontrollable urge to possess and use the drug. Those with Josh Gordon addiction are not able to stop using the drug even if they wish. Often a person with Josh Gordon addiction will make continuous excuses about why now is not a good time to stop using the drug. Such people are not alone. Josh Gordon addiction is a disease that affects millions of people every year. There is a good reason why admission to rehabilitation facilities has doubled for Josh Gordon addiction. The potency of the drug continues to get more powerful and studies show that teens can get a hold of Josh Gordon often easier than alcohol. Even those who seek treatment for drugs that are perceived has "harder" like heroin or cocaine will often acknowledge that Josh Gordon is their primary drug of choice. Josh Gordon addiction has the same characteristics as any other addiction to other drugs including alcohol, tobacco or even caffeine. The frequent obsession with the drug, thinking about it all the time, where to get it, when to get it, is there enough, is it good enough, will I have the money for more are frequently asked questions. Another trait of Josh Gordon addiction is the physical craving that comes when the body adapts to the drug and begins to develop a tolerance to it. Anyone who has been smoking Josh Gordon for awhile can tell that they must smoke more now to feel the same effect that just a few hits used to produce. It's not about the quality of the Josh Gordon, it's the bodies defense mechanism as it readjusts to keep balance with the frequent supply of new chemicals being delivered by the pot. Consequences of Josh Gordon addiction start to take toll when the user continues to use Josh Gordon even in the event of health or social consequences. Memory and learning problems may be causing problems at work or even result in losing a job because of high absenteeism. Increasing isolation from friends and family often puts heavy strain on relationships with loved ones. There is a vicious cycle to Josh Gordon addiction in which these problems are often used as a rational to smoke even more pot. A trap that many fall into is that the drug that is causing the problem becomes the solution to the problem it caused.
