Defensive Player And No point for solo tackle

Hello - Need your thoughts on this. I am confused which defensive player to pick since there are no points for tackles..

I am in a Yahoo league that includes a Defensive Team And a Defensive Player.

Sack (1)

Interception (1)

Fumble Force (1)

Fumble Recovery (2)

Touchdown (6)

Safety (2)

Block Kick (2)

And, Return Yards (25 yards per point)

Kickoff and Punt Return Touchdowns (6)

There are NO points for tackles.., should I be still drafting LB?

Will DBs give me more fantasy points (on avg per game) than DLs? If so, could you please suggest couple.

thanks

Skipping the obvious (that the scoring system stinks) I would go with a DE who gets a lot of sacks. Ints are hard to predict and even the best DBs have about 6 or so (no points for pass defended either). A good DE will get about 10-12 sacks.

Didn't see the return yards. Is that for kicks and punts too? If so go for a DB who is also a returner if not I'd still go DE

Zooty speaks the truth here. I'd go for Jared Allen if at all possible. Trouble with going with a DB who is a returner is that he probably doesn't get much field time on defense. They're usually nickel corners or part-timers.

So yeah, go with a DE that's projected to get a bunch of sacks. The FFs and FRs will naturally come and help the scoring.
