I thought they might start it at 3pm to give people a little more time but nonetheless the Saints will open up at home this weekend. Saints will play Sunday at Superdome by Teddy Kider, The Times-Picayune Tuesday September 02, 2008, 2:50 PM INDIANAPOLIS -- The New Orleans Saints have announced that they will play Sunday's regular-season opener at the Superdome, as scheduled, at noon. "There were a number of critical issues that needed to be addressed before we could make this announcement," Saints owner Tom Benson said. "We have been assured by Superdome officials that the stadium is ready to host our fans and our team for a sold out game this Sunday and we have been assured by our political leaders that we have their support in making this happen." I would just as soon had em start in Tampa and switch up the home and away dates. Not even sure we get enough people back in time to fill the seats but that should be ok. I'd rather not start the season with 3 away games if we don't have to. The long stretch away from home in the middle of the season is bad enough.
