monster2333
Obviously Edge got the bulk of the carries, but Hightower got the TD and the receptions. How was he used? Was he brought in just for goal-line/3rd down work or did they try to work him in as the primary at points?
kicker77
Looks like they used him mainly as some relief for Edge, but he did get the goal line TD, so given Wisenhunt's tenure at Pit, I wouldn't be surprised to see some form of RBBC, although not as brutal (fantasy-wise). Both Hightower and Edge ran tough vs. the niners.
tomfin2000
From what I saw, Hightower was the short yardage, goal line, and two minute offense back. I said it before and I'll say it again: He's the poor man's Marion Barber circa 2006 with Edge being the rich man's Julius Jones circa 2006. Avernus
I absolutely loved how they had him in at the end of the game and put Edge back in to get his 2 yards so he can hit 100 ....
cdrudge
From what I saw, Hightower was the short yardage, goal line, and two minute offense back.I would have expected James to be the 2 minute back from experience. Do you think age/freshness played more as a determining factor? Or am I reading too much into it? Â Â I absolutely loved how they had him in at the end of the game and put Edge back in to get his 2 yards so he can hit 100 ....Do players/coaches really watch their statistics that much really? I understand for major statistics and records, but 100 yards? Whoopdedo. James has that many times and it's nothing all that special in the NFL (although it could be for a Arizona back...) Belushi
For dynasty leaguers, grab Hightower now. He will be the starter there next year.
yo mama
Listened to the game on the radio. Hightower was basically the 3rd down back, unless the Cards went no-huddle. Edge had like 8 carries in the red zone, so it wasn't like Hightower was getting subbed in once Arizona got inside the 20. Edge just wasn't punching it in on first or second down. He was also targeted once (maybe twice) in the passing game, but dropped the ball.
