siouxfan
What do you think Chris Johsnon's trade value is after week 1? Should I treat him like a starting rb and take nothing less than a starting WR like Braylon or Marshall?
theeohiostate
I would think one would have to be dreaming to secure Marshall or Edwards for Johnson.
Rushmore
Yeah, you're getting a bit ahead of yourself here. I'd say his current value is about a Greg Jennings/Roddy White/Jerricho Cotchery at best.

Yeah, you aren't going to get Braylon or Marshall for him, but you should be able to get WR #2's. Check the teams in your league and see who is in need of a RB. The top WR #2's, IMHO, are Calvin Johnson, Greg Jennings, SHolmes. Holmes is a good buy low candidate after his poor week 1.

nibiyabi
Hold on to him. He's no fluke, and his value will increase.
rattsass
Hold on to him. He's no fluke, and his value will increase. No way in hell I would trade Johsnon for some WR2 scrub. No freaking way.
theeohiostate
No way in hell I would trade Johsnon for some WR2 scrub. No freaking way. Greg Jennings/Roddy White/Jerricho Cotchery scrubs ? You'd be fooling yourself expecting anymore then this
Avernus
Greg Jennings/Roddy White/Jerricho Cotchery scrubs ? You'd be fooling yourself expecting anymore then this as much as I would like having Cotchery on my team, I wouldn't trade Chris Johnson for him.. next year he will be lingering around the top 5 if he stays healthy...why would I give that potential of low risk/high reward up for a WR2?.... rattsass
Greg Jennings/Roddy White/Jerricho Cotchery scrubs ? You'd be fooling yourself expecting anymore then this I'm not thinking I could get more than that right now. But what I am saying is a month from now he will fetch a stud WR. Just my opinion of course, but that is where I see this going.

kingfish247
Just this week I wanted to swap Forte for Johnson (I own Lendale) but was turned down. I thought it was fair I pimped Chris Johnson throughout the preseason on this board but missed him in my main league and got Forte instead. I wouldn't mind if Chris J. struggles a bit sometime soon so his price drops at least a little bit.
cory_n_az
I value him as a Top 10 RB right now in PPR leagues.Chris Johnson will not be dealt off any of my teams. I wouldn't even consider accepting a player that would be taken outside the first 2 rounds (top 24 players) if a draft were held today in a PPR league. You're not going to get Johnson for a WR2. If you do, the owner is either part of the White family or doesn't get to see Titan games.
The Wolf
What do you think Chris Johsnon's trade value is after week 1? Should I treat him like a starting rb and take nothing less than a starting WR like Braylon or Marshall? You can ask for anyone you want...but if you think one of those two come your way for Chris Johnson, then I want to be smoking some of what you are! In all seriousness, he is not a starting RB but in FF these days, there are so many RBBC's that the top guys will - and should - command an arm and a leg. Johnson probably has the most value to the Lendale White owner. Out of curiosity, why trade him now? Why not keep him and see what you have first? gsmayes
So you guys are saying I shouldn't trade him for Chester Taylor? That's the trade I was offered last night, I have AP, but still. Ended up swapping Ray Rice for Taylor today, which is still a gift.
Shorttynaz
As a Chris Johnson owner, I was just offered Owens and Edge for Johnson and Holmes. I'm weighing my options. Johnson is going to be a beast!

cliaz
I would not trade Chris Johnson right now. His value is increasing. I think he ends the season with 10 Tds.
Mojo Rising
I'm keeping him on both my teams...........hes going to be Collins' initial bail out option (which means he will be used a lot!!!!!)
Avernus
because not everyone plays in keeper/dynasty leagues? you missed my point....plus I am only in 1 keeper.... my point was...I don't doubt he's going to warrant that 1st round spot...next year.....based off this years performance... Spartans91
I would never trade what looks like a RB2 for a WR2 - that is not fair value at all. If you really want to move him, wait one more week. He will tear up the Bengals this week and if Eddie Royal performs well again with Marshall back maybe you can make that happen. I still wouldn't do it myself, but I value RBs a lot more than WRs.
